Apple’s latest push in Indonesia is not aimed at the Pro tier, but at buyers who want modern iPhone features at a more accessible level. The iPhone 17e arrives with the A19 chip and Apple Intelligence, making it one of the clearest signs that Apple wants advanced tools to reach a wider audience.
That positioning matters in a market where premium design, strong performance, and AI features are increasingly important. Apple is pairing those features with a lower entry price than its higher-end models, while still keeping the iPhone 17e close to the brand’s familiar flagship feel.
Pricing, storage, and availability
In Indonesia, the iPhone 17e is offered in two storage options. The 256 GB model is priced at Rp 13.499.000, while the 512 GB variant costs Rp 17.999.000.
Apple is selling the device through iBox, Digimap, Blibli, and Erafone. The phone also comes in Black, White, and Soft Pink, giving buyers a small but familiar set of color choices.
A familiar Apple design in a lighter body
The iPhone 17e keeps Apple’s minimalist design language and uses an aerospace-grade aluminum frame. It weighs 169 grams and measures 7.8 mm thick, which helps it stay slim and light in hand.
Protection is handled by the latest Ceramic Shield, which Apple says is more resistant to drops and scratches. The phone also carries an IP68 rating, meaning it is protected against dust and water up to a depth of 6 meters for 30 minutes.
On the front, the device uses a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. The panel supports HDR, True Tone, P3 wide color, and peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits.
Apple also includes Face ID and the Action Button, two features that make the device feel more current and convenient for everyday use. Those additions help the iPhone 17e stand apart from older, more basic models in Apple’s lineup.
A19 chip and Apple Intelligence at a lower tier
Performance is one of the biggest reasons the iPhone 17e stands out. The phone runs on Apple’s A19 chip, built on a 3 nm process, with a 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine.
Apple says this setup can deliver performance up to twice as fast as the iPhone 11 in some usage scenarios. That puts the iPhone 17e in a strong position for multitasking, gaming, and video editing.
The phone also runs iOS 26 with full support for Apple Intelligence. Features such as Live Translation and Visual Intelligence are part of that package, giving the device a more capable AI layer for day-to-day use.
Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and Apple’s C1X modem. Apple says this combination is designed to improve both speed and power efficiency.
Camera and charging features
The rear camera setup centers on a 48 MP Fusion camera with OIS. It also supports 2x Telephoto optical-quality zoom through sensor crop technology, giving users more flexibility without adding a separate telephoto lens.
Users can shoot in either 24 MP or 48 MP formats depending on how much detail they want. For video, the iPhone 17e can record 4K Dolby Vision at up to 60 fps.
At the front, Apple uses a 12 MP TrueDepth camera with Auto Focus. That should help keep selfies sharper and more natural for everyday photos and social media content.
Battery and charging support follow Apple’s current convenience-focused approach. The iPhone 17e supports USB-C fast charging and can reach 50 percent in about 30 minutes with a 20W adapter or higher.
It also supports MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging at up to 15W. For users looking for a new iPhone that mixes premium design, strong performance, and Apple Intelligence without moving into Pro pricing, the iPhone 17e becomes a notable option in the Indonesian market.
