A larger battery, faster charging, and a clearer gap between the standard and Pro models appear to be the main pillars of Xiaomi 17T Series. With the global launch set for 28 May, attention is already centered on how Xiaomi is positioning the lineup as a more premium step within the T series.

The strongest signal comes from Xiaomi 17T Pro, which is said to carry a 7,000 mAh battery and 100W wired charging. Xiaomi 17T is no less notable, with a 6,500 mAh battery and 67W fast charging, suggesting that both models are being built around endurance as much as performance.

Two models, two very different roles

Xiaomi appears to be drawing a more distinct line between the regular and Pro versions this time. Both phones use MediaTek chipsets, but the performance tiers are separated quite clearly.

The standard Xiaomi 17T is expected to use the Dimensity 8500-Ultra. Xiaomi 17T Pro moves much higher with the Dimensity 9500, placing it in flagship territory.

Display choices reinforce the split

The same pattern shows up in the display hardware. Xiaomi 17T is said to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Xiaomi 17T Pro steps up to a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with the same FHD+ resolution, but with a 144Hz refresh rate. That combination points to a smoother experience on the Pro model, especially for gaming and visual content.

Camera setup stays familiar, but not identical

Photography is another area where the two phones remain close while still keeping a key difference. Both devices are tipped to use a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with up to 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera.

The main sensor is where the split begins. Xiaomi 17T is rumored to use the Light Fusion 800 sensor, while Xiaomi 17T Pro is said to move to the more advanced Light Fusion 950.

Premium pricing is also being signaled

Early pricing leaks for the European market place the lineup firmly in higher-end territory. Xiaomi 17T in a 12/256GB configuration is expected to start at 749 Euro.

Xiaomi 17T Pro in a 12/512GB version is tipped to begin at 999 Euro. If those figures prove accurate, the pricing would match the more ambitious specifications Xiaomi is preparing for the series.

Xiaomi has also described Xiaomi 17T as the biggest upgrade in T series history, which fits the direction shown by the latest leaks. Between the larger batteries, stronger chipsets, faster displays, and more premium charging options, the lineup is being shaped to appeal to users who want a more serious upper-tier Xiaomi phone.
