Selena Gomez Felt the Knicks’ Comeback From London, While Celebrity Row Erupted at MSG

Selena Gomez was thousands of miles away in London when the Knicks completed one of the biggest swings of the NBA Finals, and she did not hide how much it stung. The longtime Spurs fan posted about her “heart break” as New York erased a 29-point deficit and closed out Game 4 with a dramatic finish at Madison Square Garden.

Her reaction came as celebrity friends, including Taylor Swift, watched the game in person from Celebrity Row. Gomez shared a photo from an earlier trip to MSG in a Spurs jersey, then followed up with a message that mixed disappointment and support for the winning side.

Gomez watched from London as the lead slipped away

Gomez posted that it was “3 am in London but can’t miss it,” showing herself watching the game on a laptop. After the final sequence, she wrote, “Happy for NY but my heart breaks just a lil lol,” adding, “It’s okay. I’m happy for the team! Thanks for giving us some great games @NBA.”

The game ended with OG Anunoby tipping in the winner with 1.2 seconds left, giving the Knicks a 107-106 victory after a defensive stop. The comeback completed the largest rally in NBA Finals history and pushed New York to a 3-1 series lead.

Celebrity Row had a very different mood

Swift was seated front and center alongside the Haim sisters, while other familiar faces at Madison Square Garden included Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller, and Spike Lee. The arena and the city erupted after the shot, turning a tense fourth quarter into a celebration for Knicks fans.

Gomez, a Grand Prairie, Texas native, is closely connected with Swift, which made the split-screen contrast even sharper. While one group celebrated in New York, Gomez was left posting through the pain from across the Atlantic.

Game 5 is set to return to San Antonio on Saturday night, with the Knicks now one win away from their first NBA Finals title since 1973.
