Zendaya and Tom Holland may be keeping their marriage private, but their Spider-Man: Brand New Day promo run is doing the talking. Their first red carpet appearance together as husband and wife has turned into a lesson in coordinated style, archival fashion, and subtle superhero references.
The couple’s wedding details remain unknown. By March, they had already married privately, according to Law Roach, who said at the Actor Awards on March 1 that “the wedding has already happened,” and Holland later confirmed the news in an interview with Esquire U.K.
That privacy stands in sharp contrast to the tour looks. The Madrid photo-call for the film marked their first red carpet appearance together since October 2024 and their first public outing as a married couple, while also giving fans a fresh look at how far Zendaya and stylist Roach are leaning into method dressing.
Zendaya’s Red Carpet Formula Keeps Changing
Zendaya has built a reputation for turning press-tour dressing into a narrative of its own. For Challengers, that meant tennis-coded looks, and for Dune, it was futuristic desert glamour.
For Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the palette has shifted toward red and black, sharp silhouettes, and spider details. The result is a run of looks that nod to the film without slipping into costume territory.
One of the clearest examples came in Rome, where Zendaya wore a 1990s Versace spiderweb dress from the archive with Tiffany jewelry. Holland matched the vintage mood in a brown suit with a coordinating tie.
She also appeared in Germany in a custom Louis Vuitton look with a black leather crop top and matching floor-length skirt. The strongest Spider-Man reference came from her spiderweb earrings by Lydia Courteille, while a spider on Holland’s tie echoed the theme.
From Archive Versace To Clean, Sharp Tailoring
The style trail has also included a very sparkly archival Versace coord in Rome, complete with spidery lashes, white pumps, and minimal jewelry. In Amsterdam, Zendaya wore a red-and-black look that included an embellished dress, a dramatic cascading coat, slick hair, and heavy eye makeup.
Other stops have shown the range of the tour wardrobe. A fierce cropped blazer with an almost weblike motif and a red miniskirt by Balenciaga appeared at an Amsterdam photo-call, while a Rodarte dress with a statement spider set on a web offered the most direct spider reference so far.
She also took a lighter turn in a Coach jersey look that gave a polished, preppy spin to sportswear. In Spain, an all-red Ernesto Naranjo dress with matching pumps and lipstick brought the color story back to Spider-Man’s signature suit.
Tom Holland Is Matching The Mood Too
Holland’s wardrobe has followed the same restrained but intentional approach. In Madrid, he wore a Jacquemus black suit with a red shirt for the couple’s married red carpet debut, and earlier in the tour he appeared in a brown suit with a matching tie for the Rome premiere.
He has also been picking up on the spider theme in smaller ways, including the spider on his tie during the Germany stop. The effect is less theatrical than Zendaya’s looks, but it fits the couple’s carefully coordinated public image.
The Quiet Marriage, The Loud Fashion Moment
Zendaya’s engagement first drew attention when she wore a diamond ring on her left hand at the 2025 Golden Globes. Vogue reported that the east-west setting of the Jessica McCormack ring helped influence bridal trends by offering a fresh alternative to the traditional north-south style.
For now, the wedding itself remains off-limits, including the date and location. Holland said his family did not need the AI-generated wedding images that circulated in early March because “they were all there,” and he made it clear that he would not be sharing more.
That privacy only makes the red carpet appearances more striking. The marriage may be quiet, but Zendaya and Holland’s Spider-Man tour style is impossible to miss.
