Ali Larter marked the Fourth of July with a mountain getaway that mixed outdoor adventure with a relaxed family celebration. The “Landman” star shared a photo dump from Idaho that captured fishing, floating on a river and time with friends and family.
She captioned the post, “Epic 4th in the Mountains!” with American flag emojis. The holiday outing also offered another look at the slower pace she has embraced since moving her family from Los Angeles to Sun Valley, Idaho, in 2020.
Mountain Style, Red White and Blue
Larter leaned into the holiday theme with an all-American look that included a white cherry-print triangle bikini under an open jean jacket, distressed denim shorts, a blue-and-white trucker hat and oversized sunglasses. Friends joined the celebration in similarly casual summer outfits, including denim shorts, swimwear and baseball caps.
| Holiday Moment | Details |
|---|---|
| Outfit | White cherry-print bikini, jean jacket, distressed denim shorts, trucker hat |
| Fly-Fishing | Chest waders, long-sleeve fishing shirts, baseball caps, sunglasses |
| River Float | Inflatable loungers, baseball caps, peaceful mountain scenery |
| Group Photo | Red Jeep, American flags, red, white and blue outfits |
The holiday album included a fly-fishing excursion in a shallow mountain river, where Larter and a friend stood together in chest waders with fly rods in hand. Another image showed her cooling off during a float through the river in an inflatable lounger.
A separate group photo brought everyone together beside a bright red Jeep, with the crew dressed in red, white and blue and surrounded by festive details. Larter later posed with two friends against the mountain backdrop, wearing denim shorts, a white tank top, a striped button-down and a white cowboy hat.
A Slower Summer in Idaho
In June, Larter told Fox News Digital that summers in Idaho feel “totally different” from life in Los Angeles. She said her family likes to barbecue at home, play with their dogs and enjoy ice cream at Leroy’s.
“It’s just kind of simpler, and the days are really long. The sun’s out till like 10 at night now, so it’s been really beautiful to kind of have the kids out of school and enjoy the time with them,” she said.
Larter and husband Hayes MacArthur share two children, son Teddy and daughter Vivienne. The family move also fits the wellness-focused chapter she has described since turning 50, including regular gym visits, drinking plenty of water and celery juice, and taking care of her skin.
Outside of family life, Larter is preparing for another season of Paramount+’s “Landman,” where she stars as Angela Norris opposite Billy Bob Thornton. Fox News Digital’s Janelle Ash contributed to this report.
