Oregon WRs Dakorien Moore, Gary Bryant Jr. Out for Upcoming USC Game

Oregon will face a major setback in their upcoming game against USC as wide receivers Dakorien Moore and Gary Bryant Jr. have been ruled out due to injuries. Both players are key components of the Ducks’ offense as they pursue a College Football Playoff spot.

Moore, a highly touted freshman recruit ranked No. 4 nationally, sustained an injury during practice earlier this month and will miss his third consecutive game. Bryant suffered a foot injury in the matchup against Iowa and also did not participate in last week’s win over Minnesota.

The impact of these absences is notable given their contributions. Moore has recorded 28 receptions for 443 yards and three touchdowns this season. Meanwhile, Bryant has tallied 25 receptions for 298 yards and four touchdowns, making them two of Oregon’s top receiving threats.

USC will also be missing a critical defensive player. Safety Bishop Fitzgerald, a leader in the Trojans’ secondary, is out for the game due to an undisclosed injury. Fitzgerald leads the nation with five interceptions and has made 51 tackles, earning the highest safety grade among Power 4 conference players according to Pro Football Focus.

Additionally, USC may have limited availability of safety Kamari Ramsey, who left last week’s game against Iowa with an injury and is currently listed as questionable. Offensive lineman Elijah Paige is also questionable for the game.

These injuries could influence the dynamics on both sides of the ball in a contest between the No. 7 Ducks and No. 15 Trojans. Oregon will need to adjust its passing game without two of its top wideouts. Conversely, USC aims to maintain defensive stability despite key absences in their secondary.

With both teams dealing with significant injury challenges, the upcoming Saturday matchup promises to be a critical test as Oregon pursues a playoff berth and USC fights to defend its standing in the Pac-12 conference.
