In select regions including Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, South Africa, South Korea, and Turkey, Rick and Morty will disappear from Netflix on December 30. The United Kingdom’s Netflix library will lose the series a day later, on December 31.
Despite these removals, the show remains available on Netflix in countries such as Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, and Switzerland. Fans in these territories can continue streaming the series without interruption.
In North America, the streaming rights belong to HBO Max and Hulu. Rick and Morty viewers there can still watch the series on these platforms, which have exclusive access to new episodes shortly after they air. Warner Bros. Discovery owns both Cartoon Network, where the show originally broadcasts, and HBO Max, facilitating this arrangement.
The latest season, Season 8, premiered in May, with new episodes continuing to engage fans. A renewal through Season 12 ensures more content is on the way, with Season 9 expected for release around Fall next year.
Adult Swim also announced a new spin-off series focused on President Curtis, a fan-favorite character voiced by Keith David. The upcoming show will delve into political satire from a fresh perspective, expanding the Rick and Morty universe.
