Rebecca Park’s Fiancé Allegedly Had Affair With Her Mother and Sister Before Murder Case

New revelations have emerged from court documents regarding the murder of Rebecca Park, who went missing in early November while 38 weeks pregnant. The discovery of her body later that month revealed that her unborn child was missing, intensifying the investigation into those close to her.

Court affidavits allege a disturbing dynamic involving Rebecca’s fiancé, Richard Falor, who reportedly had affairs with both Rebecca’s mother, Cortney Bartholomew, and her sister, Kimberly Park. These relationships are central to the case being prosecuted in Michigan.

Affair Allegations and Arrests

According to statements given to the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office, Richard Falor, 43, was romantically involved with Rebecca, her 40-year-old mother Cortney, and her 21-year-old sister Kimberly. This unusual and complex relationship triangle appeared to be a significant factor in the tragic events that unfolded.

In the last two weeks, Cortney Bartholomew, her husband Bradly, Kimberly Park, and others have been arrested and face multiple felony charges connected to Rebecca’s murder. Kimberly faces charges including tampering with evidence and filing a false report and is currently under house arrest after bail reduction.

Details from Investigations

Kimberly admitted to being in a relationship with Falor shortly before Rebecca’s body was discovered. She initially accused her mother and Bradly of causing Rebecca’s death but later retracted, claiming she was protecting Falor. Kimberly also alleged that Falor confessed to killing Rebecca and that a botched attempt to extract the unborn child led to further complications.

Cortney Bartholomew, interviewed by investigators, confirmed her affair with Falor began after he and Rebecca separated. She stated she planned to leave her husband for Falor but changed her mind, upon which Falor resumed contact with Rebecca. Cortney further alleged that Falor raped her forcibly, leading to a miscarriage.

Prosecutor’s Statements and Charges

Prosecutor Johanna Carey described the murder as "evil personified," citing the premeditated nature of the crime, including torture and conspiracy. Court documents state that Cortney’s husband Bradly and Cortney themselves physically attacked Rebecca, forced her into a vehicle, transported her to the woods, and fatally stabbed her while forcibly removing the unborn child.

Both face multiple counts of first-degree murder, felony murder, assault causing miscarriage or stillbirth, unlawful imprisonment, and removal of a dead body, each carrying possible life sentences.

These shocking details expose the tragic entanglement of betrayal, deceit, and violence within one family, illustrating the complexity and severity of the crime involving Rebecca Park, her fiancé, mother, and sister.
