Brian Gutiérrez Arrives in Guadalajara to Sign with Chivas
Brian Gutiérrez has arrived in Guadalajara to complete his signing with Club Deportivo Guadalajara. The 22-year-old midfielder is set to become the first reinforcement for Chivas ahead of the Clausura tournament.
Gutiérrez landed at Guadalajara’s international airport and greeted fans with enthusiasm. “Thank you very much for the warm welcome. I am very happy for what is coming; this is a dream come true. Go Chivas!” he said.
Before the club can officially announce the signing, Gutiérrez must pass physical and medical examinations. Once completed, he will sign his contract and join the team preparing for the next season.
Coming from Chicago Fire, Gutiérrez is making his Liga MX debut. In his last campaign with the Fire, he played 35 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 4 assists. His team reached the first round of playoffs but was eliminated by Columbus Crew.
Chivas sees Gutiérrez as a key addition to strengthen their attacking midfield options. He will compete with established players like Efraín Álvarez and Roberto Alvarado, as well as young talents Hugo Camberos and Yael Padilla.
This signing marks a significant step in Chivas’ squad building for Clausura. Additionally, Ángel Sepúlveda is expected to join soon after completing his vacation following the Intercontinental Cup with Cruz Azul.
Coach Gabriel Milito awaits the new players in the pre-season camp. The integration of Gutiérrez is expected to boost the team’s creativity and offensive dynamism moving forward.
Fans will closely watch how Gutiérrez adapts to the Mexican league and contributes to Chivas’ ambitions. His arrival underscores the club’s intent to compete strongly in the upcoming tournament.
