ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN Receives Comprehensive Update in Patch 1.03.1
The latest update for Elden Ring Nightreign, Patch Version 1.03.1, delivers a wealth of content additions, balance adjustments, and crucial bug fixes. This update applies to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam platforms, aiming to enhance both gameplay experience and system performance.
Players owning the DLC The Forsaken Hollows will find fresh content in the Deep of Night mode. New targets, landmarks, raid events, and the Shifting Earth environment have been introduced and activate only if all matched players have the DLC installed. This reinforces cooperative engagement and adds richer in-game challenges.
Balance Changes and Feature Improvements
The patch notably increases curse effects tied to Fire, Magic, Lightning, and Holy elements within the temples of the Great Hollow Shifting Earth. At the same time, continuous HP loss and recovery effects have been tweaked for better gameplay balance.
Key gameplay refinements include a decrease in attack power of wolves summoned in the Tricephalos raid event. Players now see a stack count display associated with damage negation reduction for level 3 Dart-type items, enhancing combat clarity. Additionally, several quality-of-life improvements such as item stack combining when swapping consumables, and remapping of the Map Display key, have been integrated.
Addressing Numerous Bugs
Patch 1.03.1 resolves an extensive list of bugs affecting both general gameplay and specific character skills. Critical fixes include correcting issues with Scholar’s Skill Communion, balancing effects in boss fights, and stabilizing weapon effect applications like Black Flame Blade and Bloodflame Blade incantations. The update also targets multiplayer functionality, fixing problems in Deep of Night ratings, item effect persistence, and enemy behavior consistency.
Many bugs impacting the new DLC areas, including enemy drops, map icon placements, and progression blocks in the Great Hollow Shifting Earth, have been rectified. Technical stability is improved with crash fixes on PlayStation consoles and graphical and sound enhancements.
Steam-Specific Update
Steam players receive an updated list of prohibited words to maintain community standards.
Players must log in to download the Regulation Ver. 1.03.2 file following this update. Applying the latest regulation is mandatory for online play continuity. Restarting the game after updating ensures all changes activate correctly.
With this sizable update, Elden Ring Nightreign continues its path toward refined gameplay and enriched content. Further updates are planned to ensure players enjoy smoother and more balanced experiences across all platforms.
