Freddie Freeman Shows Worm Dance Move at Mookie Betts’ Party After Dodgers’ World Series Parade

Freddie Freeman recently caught attention for doing the worm dance during a party at Mookie Betts’ house. This celebration followed the Dodgers’ World Series parade, where the team celebrated its championship win.

Freeman’s dance moves have become popular among Dodgers fans. His signature hip sway and arm raise are used by the team this season to celebrate extra-base hits.

The worm dance made Freeman go viral after the Betts party. He also performed the move again at teammate Gavin Lux’s wedding reception.

On “The 6-1-1 Podcast” with Jimmy Rollins and Ryan Howard, Freeman shared details about trying the worm dance again. He recalled sitting at Betts’ party, watching others dance in a circle.

Freeman explained, “The circle gets going and I’m like, ‘Ah, jeez.’ Sometimes it’s awkward. Kiké was bringing life to the dance, so they started egging me on.” He described how he hadn’t done the worm in over a decade.

He said, “I probably hit the ground, like, four times with that one and ended it with a little booty shake.” He joked about struggling to get back up and using a different move to look in control.

Despite the playful nature of the moment, Freeman has practiced the dance for many years. His teammates were surprised by how effortlessly he pulled it off. Lux had to encourage him to perform it again later at his wedding celebration.

Freeman’s connection with his teammates extends beyond baseball with such lighthearted moments. Meanwhile, he has expressed interest in playing for Team Canada in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.

Dodgers president Andrew Friedman indicated no major health procedures are expected for Freeman, who remains a crucial part of the roster. His presence on and off the field continues to energize Dodgers’ fans and teammates alike.
