Looking ahead, Blanchard revealed her openness to expanding their family through in vitro fertilization (IVF). She explained this choice was cautious and medical, aimed at preventing the inheritance of her microdeletion 1q21.1 genetic condition. Aurora tested negative, but natural conception carried risks they preferred to avoid.
Blanchard stated, “As of right now, we have not made any solidified plans. We hope to do IVF sometime in the near future, but right now all our focus is on Aurora.” The couple also expressed a wish to have a baby brother for Aurora, considering that IVF allows them to select the gender.
She projected that any new pregnancy would likely occur by mid-next year to allow time to adjust to their current changes. In addition, Urker has embarked on a new career path, adding further dynamics to their family’s future plans.
