Michigan football faces another significant roster change as Zeke Berry, a two-year starter, has entered the transfer portal. Berry, who joined Michigan as part of the 2022 recruiting class, still has one year of NCAA eligibility remaining.
Berry transitioned to cornerback during the 2024 season and has demonstrated solid performance across his tenure. Over the past two seasons, he recorded 70 tackles, three interceptions, and six pass breakups, underlining his contribution to the Wolverines’ defense.
Although Berry was not the primary cornerback this past season—Jyaire Hill held that role—Berry’s capabilities as a reliable second starter were evident. He is known for his strong tackling and capable ball skills, factors that likely enhance his appeal in the transfer market.
This move marks the fourth Michigan player to enter the transfer portal on a single Friday. Alongside Berry, Cole Sullivan, Elijah Dotson, and Jasper Parker have also declared their intentions to transfer, signaling a broader shift within the roster.
