iQOO has issued a firm warning to users of its latest smartphone, the iQOO 15, advising them not to remove the built-in screen protector that comes pre-installed. This screen protector is not an ordinary plastic film commonly found on other smartphones. It features advanced anti-reflective (AR) technology designed after significant research and investment by iQOO.
The iQOO 15 launched in China has attracted attention not only for its high-end Qualcomm processor and large battery but also for its premium Samsung display. The AR screen protector helps reduce light reflections and glare, ensuring a clear and sharp viewing experience even under direct sunlight. According to GalantV, iQOO’s Product Manager, this AR film carries a much higher production cost than standard protectors, reflecting its sophisticated technology.
Users are strongly urged to keep the AR screen protector on unless it becomes damaged or worn out. iQOO supports this by offering a robust after-sales program wherein users can replace the screen protector up to four times per year free of charge at authorized service centers. Each replacement involves the original AR film, maintaining consistent display quality.
Additionally, iQOO plans to eventually sell the AR screen protectors separately through its official store, although the exact availability date is still pending. This option will allow users to keep spare protectors for future replacements without waiting.
All iQOO 15 variants come equipped with the AR screen protector from the moment they are unboxed. Its key function is to minimize light reflection and refraction, substantially enhancing visual clarity and viewing comfort under bright lighting conditions. This feature markedly improves the user’s screen experience, making it a standout attribute of the device.
Beneath the protector lies a remarkable “Everest” 2K Samsung panel made from M14 luminous material and integrating the latest eye-protection technology. iQOO highlights this display for excelling in seven critical categories: visual clarity, brightness, color accuracy, eye comfort, power efficiency, durability, and rapid touch responsiveness.
By pairing this cutting-edge Samsung screen with the advanced AR film, iQOO aims to deliver a superior visual presentation and durable display quality. The device targets users who prioritize screen excellence alongside high performance and longevity.
Ahead of iQOO 15’s upcoming launch in India, the company has shared feature teasers that have further heightened interest among tech enthusiasts and iQOO fans globally. The consistent message underscores the screen protector’s role as an essential component of the phone’s design—not a disposable accessory. It ensures that users benefit fully from crisp visuals, reduced glare, and superior eye protection as intended by the manufacturer.
