Leica Cameras And 7,000mAh Power Define Xiaomi’s Global 17T Lineup, Launch Set For May 28, 2026

Xiaomi is lining up the global debut of its 17T series, and the first wave of leaks suggests the company wants to make battery life and Leica-tuned imaging the main talking points. The rollout is set for 28 May 2026, but Xiaomi has so far kept the official device details tightly under wraps.

What makes the upcoming launch notable is the shape of the lineup itself. Xiaomi appears to be preparing two models, following the same two-tier approach used for the Xiaomi 15T series, with a standard Xiaomi 17T and a higher-end Xiaomi 17T Pro.

Two models, two clear targets

The split gives Xiaomi room to address different buyers in the global market. The standard version is expected to serve as the main entry point, while the Pro model is positioned as the more ambitious option with stronger hardware.

That strategy becomes easier to see through the leaked specifications. The regular Xiaomi 17T is said to pair a 6.59-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Pro model is reportedly moving up to a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Standard Xiaomi 17T: balanced hardware with Leica branding

Leaked promotional material points to MediaTek Dimensity 8500 powering the Xiaomi 17T. The phone is also said to include a 6,500mAh battery, which would place it among the more battery-focused devices in its class.

Camera hardware is another major part of the appeal. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to use a Leica-tuned camera system, and the leaks mention a 5x telephoto camera with digital zoom reaching up to 120x.

For memory and storage, the standard model is tipped to arrive with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The reported price sits at €749.

Xiaomi 17T Pro pushes the spec sheet further

The Pro variant appears designed to go after users who want a larger screen and faster display response. Its 6.83-inch AMOLED panel and 144Hz refresh rate put it ahead of the base model on the visual side.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is reportedly set to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, the same chip found in the recently launched Redmi K90 Max. That would give the phone a higher-performance profile than the standard version.

Battery capacity is also a headline feature here. The Pro model is said to carry a 7,000mAh battery and support 100W wired fast charging, making it the more aggressive endurance-focused option in the lineup.

Its leaked configuration includes 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, with the reported price at €999.

Model Display Chipset Battery RAM / Storage Reported Price
Xiaomi 17T 6.59-inch, 120Hz MediaTek Dimensity 8500 6,500mAh 12GB / 256GB €749
Xiaomi 17T Pro 6.83-inch AMOLED, 144Hz MediaTek Dimensity 9500 7,000mAh, 100W wired charging 12GB / 512GB €999

Xiaomi has not confirmed any additional specifications beyond the launch date, so the current picture still relies on leaks and early promotional details. Even so, the combination of a two-model lineup, Leica camera branding, and large batteries already gives the Xiaomi 17T series a distinct global launch identity.
