Two new blacked-out GM-2100 models have surfaced online, and the most eye-catching version is the one that mixes the dark base with gold accents. The leaked watches are the GM-2100LXB-1A and GM-2100LXB-1A9, both of which are expected to arrive in June.
The two models keep the familiar octagonal bezel that defines the GM-2100 line. Casio also appears to have replaced the usual smooth strap with a textured, ribbed resin band, giving the watches a tougher industrial look.
Two ways to push the blacked-out theme
The GM-2100LXB-1A takes the blackout concept to the extreme. Its case, dial, hands, and indexes are all finished in black, with no visible color accents.
The GM-2100LXB-1A9 follows a different path. It adds gold-tone details to the inner dial ring, hour markers, hands, and the text on the digital display.
That split in design makes the pair feel related but not identical. One aims for a fully monochrome appearance, while the other uses gold to sharpen the contrast and make the watch feel more premium.
Why the leak looks credible
The images first appeared through Instagram account @geesgshock, which has also been linked to other CasiOak leaks. The suffix LXB led the leaker to suggest that Casio may position the watches under a “Luxury Black Series.”
That idea is reinforced by another clue. GA-2100LXB and GM-2100LXB codes had already shown up in an Asian retailer database earlier this month, giving the rumor more weight.
Casio has not announced either model officially. As a result, the final marketing name, full specifications, and global availability remain unconfirmed.
What this means for the metal CasiOak line
The leak also adds fresh attention to Casio’s direction for its metal CasiOak watches. According to @geesgshock, Casio has recently moved metal-covered models into the G-Steel name, a shift that he believes may blur the identity of G-Steel itself.
He also argued that the price gap for a metal bezel over a basic resin model is hard to justify. Aftermarket CasiOak bezel options are already widely available, which gives buyers more alternatives outside official releases.
No price has been announced for the GM-2100LXB-1A or GM-2100LXB-1A9. Even so, the leak suggests Casio is still committed to expanding the metal GM-2100 formula, this time with a darker and more dramatic finish.
