Toyota Veloz Hybrid EV Modellista Brings Premium Styling and 28.9 Km/L Fuel Efficiency

For family buyers watching fuel costs closely, the Toyota Veloz Hybrid EV Modellista stands out for one reason first: its claimed efficiency can reach 28.9 km/liter. That figure gives the LMPV a strong selling point in a segment where practicality and running costs matter just as much as appearance.

The model also arrives with a more upscale visual character. Through the Modellista aerokit, Toyota gives the Veloz a sharper and more futuristic look while keeping the familiar tough silhouette that has long defined the nameplate.

A more premium exterior treatment

The front end is one of the clearest changes. Toyota fits a more assertive bumper design and a bold-pattern grille, while black glossy accents and chrome details flow from the LED headlamps along the body and toward the rear.

At the side, the dynamic body lines are paired with sporty side skirts. The premium impression is completed by 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels wrapped in 205/50 R17 tires.

Hybrid power with a quiet transmission

The main technical draw sits under the hood. The Veloz Hybrid EV uses a 1,500 cc 2NR-VEX four-cylinder DOHC engine with Dual VVT-i technology, producing 91 PS and 121 Nm of torque.

That engine works with a Series-Parallel Hybrid electric motor, a lithium-ion battery, and the Toyota Hybrid System. Power is sent through an e-CVT transmission, which is designed to make acceleration smoother and quieter in daily use.

Toyota also highlights EV Mode, allowing the car to run on electric power alone at low speeds. Under certain driving conditions, the claimed fuel consumption can reach 28.9 km/liter.

Cabin space remains family-focused

Inside, the Veloz Hybrid EV Modellista keeps its role as a seven-seater family vehicle. The 2,750 mm wheelbase supports a spacious layout, while the cabin uses soft-touch materials, ambient lighting, a 7-inch TFT digital instrument panel, and a 9-inch head unit with wireless smartphone connectivity.

Practicality is also supported by Long Sofa Mode for the second and third-row seats. This feature helps the cabin adapt more easily to different passenger and cargo needs.

Safety equipment on the higher trim

Toyota also adds Toyota Safety Sense on the top variant. The package includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert & Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

This makes the Veloz Hybrid EV Modellista more than a style-focused version. It combines hybrid efficiency, a more refined exterior, and active safety features in a package aimed at modern family mobility.

Pricing in the Toyota dealer network

Based on official Toyota dealer data for OTR Jabodetabek, the Veloz Hybrid EV is priced from Rp303 million to Rp385 million. The Modellista variants are positioned as follows:

VariantPrice
