A Bigger Screen, 256GB Storage, and a 6,000mAh Battery Put POCO C81 Pro in the Spotlight at Rp1,7 Jutaan

POCO C81 Pro is positioning itself as one of the more attention-grabbing entry-level phones by combining a large screen, generous storage, and a price that stays around Rp1.7 million. In a segment where such a package is still not common, the device stands out for offering features that usually feel more ambitious than its price tag suggests.

The model also arrives as part of a broader POCO C81 lineup that already includes the POCO C81 and POCO C81x. With that context, the C81 Pro sits in the middle of the range and becomes the most balanced option for users who want more than the most basic configuration without moving too far up in price.

Large display, smooth scrolling

At the front, the POCO C81 Pro uses a 6.9-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ 1600 x 720 resolution. The size makes it suitable for watching videos, reading, and browsing social media with a wider viewing area.

Its strongest visual selling point is the 120Hz refresh rate. That specification should make scrolling and animations feel smoother than on many other entry-level phones that still rely on lower refresh rates, while the claimed 650 nits of brightness help the screen remain usable in bright outdoor conditions.

The front camera sits inside a waterdrop notch. That design remains typical for affordable phones and helps preserve a spacious-looking display area.

Storage that feels unusual for the class

One of the most notable features of the POCO C81 Pro is its 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The company says this setup offers better read and write speeds than the storage standards often found in beginner-class smartphones.

The larger capacity gives users more room for apps, photos, videos, and documents. For people who use a phone for study, work, and entertainment, that kind of storage can be a major advantage in daily use.

Built for everyday tasks

The phone is powered by the UNISOC T7250 chipset built on a 12nm process. Its focus is clearly on essential activities such as communication, common apps, and light content consumption.

This is not a performance-focused device, and it is not meant to compete with higher-end phones. Still, its positioning fits the needs of the entry-level segment, where practicality matters more than raw power.

For imaging, the device carries a 13MP main camera paired with an additional lens. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera for self-portraits and video calls.

Battery and supporting features

Another major strength of the POCO C81 Pro is its 6,000mAh battery. POCO claims the battery can last through a full day under normal use, which remains an important advantage in the affordable smartphone category.

Charging support goes up to 15W fast charging. While the speed is modest, it still adds convenience when a large battery needs to be refilled.

The supporting features are also fairly complete for the price class. The phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, a microSD slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and IP52 certification for resistance against dust and light splashes.

A middle option in the POCO C81 family

Within the lineup, the standard POCO C81 is expected to sell at around Rp1.5 million, while the POCO C81 Pro sits at around Rp1.7 million. The POCO C81x is predicted to be priced at around Rp1.8 million.

That price positioning makes the C81 Pro an appealing middle choice. With a 120Hz display, 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, and a 6,000mAh battery, it offers a combination that looks especially strong for users who want a more complete entry-level phone without stretching much further in budget.
