A limited-run laptop is usually about performance first, but HP and Ferrari have pushed that idea into collector territory. The HP Scuderia Ferrari AI PC turns a notebook into a statement piece, with a price of $5,599 and a design that borrows heavily from the visual language of a supercar.
The collaboration between HP and Ferrari took two years to develop, and the result is meant to stand out as much on a desk as a luxury vehicle does on a track. Instead of treating styling as an accessory, the two brands built the machine around premium materials, detailed craftsmanship, and unmistakable Ferrari branding.
A red finish built to draw attention
The most immediate visual cue is the Rosso Magma color, inspired by the Ferrari Icona Daytona SP3. It gives the laptop a deep red appearance with a layered finish that feels closer to an automotive concept than a typical consumer device.
The palm rest also uses a special lenticular treatment that creates a motion-blur effect. Even when the laptop is still, the design makes it look as if it is moving.
Most of the chassis is made from anodized aluminum with CNC-machined detailing. That choice keeps the machine aligned with premium notebook construction while allowing Ferrari’s design cues to remain front and center.
The underside is where the design becomes theatrical
The most distinctive part sits on the bottom panel, where carbon fiber is paired with a transparent section. HP and Ferrari call this area the “engine bay,” and it is designed to expose the hardware in a way that ordinary laptops never do.
Through the transparent panel, users can see the processor and cooling system. Instead of hiding internal components, the laptop turns them into a visual feature.
The panel uses Gorilla Glass and includes 2,000 individually drilled holes for added texture. There is also a laser-engraved number identifying each unit within the limited production run of 5,000 units, along with several Easter eggs aimed at Ferrari fans.
Ferrari influences the engineering touches too
The design story does not stop at color and materials. Ferrari drew inspiration from the F76 digital hypercar when shaping the hinge, adding concentric louvers that help direct airflow and support thermal control.
That detail ties the appearance back to function, giving the hinge a role beyond style. It also reinforces the automotive theme that runs through the entire notebook.
High-end hardware stays part of the package
Despite the dramatic exterior, the HP Scuderia Ferrari AI PC is built with serious hardware. It comes with an Intel Core Ultra X7 processor, integrated Intel Arc graphics, 64GB of memory, and a 1TB SSD.
The 14-inch display uses a 3K OLED panel and supports touch input. The keyboard includes per-key RGB lighting with Ferrari typography, plus custom settings and several built-in lighting patterns.
Connectivity is also broad enough for a premium productivity machine. The port selection includes two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB-C 10Gbps port, one USB-A port, HDMI, and a headphone jack.
Limited availability adds to the collector appeal
HP and Ferrari are offering the laptop in only a few markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Japan, along with several other countries. That limited distribution matches the product’s positioning as something aimed at collectors and dedicated fans rather than a mainstream buyer.
Each unit ships in a special box with a USB charger and a Poltrona Frau leather sleeve. The leather material is also used in Ferrari car interiors, which adds another layer of automotive identity to the packaging.
Sales for the limited edition begin on 12 June. With its $5,599 price tag, bright red finish, and transparent bottom panel that exposes the “engine” inside, the HP Scuderia Ferrari AI PC is designed to feel closer to a collectible than an everyday laptop.
