OnePlus Turbo 6X Brings A 144Hz LCD And 7,000mAh Battery To The Budget Segment

OnePlus is pushing the Turbo 6X into China with a spec sheet that focuses on two features many budget phones still struggle to combine: a 144Hz display and a 7,000mAh battery. The device is already open for pre-order, and its positioning makes the message clear: this is a low-cost model built to look far more modern than its price suggests.

What makes the phone stand out is not only the battery size, but also the way OnePlus has separated this model from other devices in the Turbo 6 series. While other variants use OLED panels, the Turbo 6X goes with an LCD display instead, yet it still keeps the 144Hz refresh rate. That choice should still deliver smooth scrolling, easier app switching, and a more responsive feel during gaming.

A budget phone with a large battery

The battery is one of the strongest selling points of the Turbo 6X. OnePlus has confirmed a 7,000mAh capacity, which is unusually large for an affordable smartphone.

That figure suggests endurance will be one of the model’s main advantages. In a segment where price matters heavily, a battery this big can become a decisive factor for buyers who want longer use between charges.

MediaTek power and memory options

Under the hood, the Turbo 6X is set to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Super. The chipset choice reinforces its role as a budget-friendly phone aimed at efficient daily use rather than premium positioning.

OnePlus is also preparing three memory configurations for the device. The available variants are 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB.

Simple design, familiar color choices

The phone uses a pill-shaped rear camera module, giving it a clean and straightforward appearance. The design does not try to be overly flashy, but it still fits the current style of modern smartphones in this price range.

OnePlus will offer the Turbo 6X in three color options: white, black, and green. That gives buyers some variety without changing the device’s overall identity.

Pricing keeps it in the budget zone

OnePlus says the Turbo 6X series will start at CNY 1,500, or around $221. That pricing places the phone squarely in a market where value for money matters more than anything else.

With a 144Hz LCD panel, a 7,000mAh battery, and a MediaTek chipset, the Turbo 6X is being positioned as one of the more attention-grabbing low-cost options in China. OnePlus has also confirmed a Turbo 6X Pro, although full specifications for both models have not been revealed yet.
