MSI’s Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG stands out in a part of the market where compact size usually comes at the expense of memory. Despite its 0.51-liter chassis, the mini PC supports up to 128 GB of RAM, a figure that is unusual for a machine this small.
That capacity comes from two removable SODIMM slots, which gives the system a level of flexibility that many mini PCs do not offer. In this segment, memory is often lower or soldered directly to the motherboard, leaving little room for upgrades.

MSI’s positioning becomes even more interesting when compared with a larger competitor such as the Beelink GTI15 Ultra. That model reaches 96 GB through two 48 GB DDR5 SODIMM modules.
Even with its smaller footprint, the Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG still surpasses that limit. For memory-heavy tasks, that difference gives MSI’s mini PC a clear advantage on paper.

This means the new mini PC is not only larger in memory headroom, but also built on a newer platform. For compact systems, that combination of efficiency and performance is often just as important as physical dimensions.
Compact, light, and aimed at business use
MSI is offering the Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG as a barebones model. That approach can appeal to businesses that already have their own SSDs and RAM modules, since it may lower the entry cost and allow existing parts to be reused.
