The FFWS SEA 2026 Spring Grand Finals in Ho Chi Minh City ended with a major shake-up at the top of the Free Fire Southeast Asia scene. Secret WAG emerged as the season champion after a decisive final stretch that left little room for rivals to respond.

What made the result stand out was not only the trophy, but also the speed of the closing run. Secret WAG delivered four straight Booyah from game three onward and finished the event in game six with 120 points, sealing the title in emphatic fashion.

A rapid finish that rewrote expectations

Secret WAG were not widely viewed as the leading favorite during the Knockout stage. Their form changed sharply when the tournament reached its deciding phase, and they quickly took control of the lobby with pressure that other teams could not match.

That surge also brought a notable record. Secret WAG set the fastest Champion Rush in the history of Free Fire Southeast Asia competition, adding historical weight to a title run that already surprised many observers.

Indonesia still secured a strong presence in Paris

While the host side celebrated a breakthrough, Indonesia left the event with three teams qualified for Esports World Cup 2026: Free Fire in Paris. EVOS Divine, RRQ Kazu, and Bigetron by Vitality all finished inside the final top eight and earned their places on the global stage.

EVOS Divine ended the tournament in sixth place with 64 points, making them the highest-placed Indonesian team. RRQ Kazu followed in seventh with the same point total, while Bigetron by Vitality closed in eighth with 56 points.

Those results mean Indonesia will send three representatives to Paris, where the Free Fire competition is scheduled to take place in mid-July. The placement also kept all three teams safely within the qualification zone after a tight final standings race.

A global field set to be even tougher

The Paris event is expected to be highly crowded, with 24 of the best teams from different regions set to compete. Southeast Asia alone will contribute nine teams, including the three Indonesian squads that advanced from FFWS SEA 2026 Spring.

The field also includes representatives from the United States, Nepal, and Africa, which should make the competitive landscape broader than before. One more spot is linked to Team Falcons, who finished ninth but still received a place because EVOS Divine had already qualified automatically as the previous season’s EWC champion.

More opportunities still await Indonesian teams

Even without the FFWS SEA title, Indonesia remains in a strong position in the wider Free Fire scene. The country’s record at the previous EWC edition still serves as an important reference point, especially after Indonesia once swept the entire world championship podium.

Two Indonesian teams will also appear in another event in a different format. RRQ Kazu and EVOS Divine are scheduled to compete in Free Fire Clash Masters Southeast Asia 2026 Summer in July, with RRQ Kazu entering as the defending champion from the Indonesian qualifying route and EVOS Divine joining as runner-up.

That tournament will bring together the region’s best Clash Squad teams, giving both squads another chance to test their form against top Southeast Asian opposition.
