Vivo’s next flagship family is already drawing attention before it has even been announced. Early leaks suggest the standard Vivo X500 could arrive with a 7,500mAh battery and a Dimensity 9500 chipset, a combination that would immediately set it apart in a crowded premium market.
That mix of large battery capacity and top-tier silicon is the kind of specification sheet that can change the conversation around a flagship. If the details prove accurate, the Vivo X500 may appeal not only to camera-focused buyers, but also to users who care about endurance and sustained daily performance.
A bigger battery is the headline feature
The most striking claim around the Vivo X500 is its 7,500mAh battery. That would be a major step up from the 6,040mAh battery found on the Vivo X300, making the newer model look far more ambitious in terms of longevity.
In the flagship segment, battery size often matters as much as raw performance. A capacity this large could make the phone attractive to heavy users who want long screen time without constantly reaching for a charger.
What the standard X500 is said to include
According to a leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Vivo X500 is expected to use a flat 6.59-inch display. That choice would give the device a distinct look, especially as many premium phones still lean toward curved panels.
The same report says the phone will use a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor. Vivo is also said to be preparing a periscope telephoto lens, signaling that zoom photography will remain an important part of the package.
On the performance side, the device is reportedly set to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500. While detailed specifications for the chip have not been revealed, its inclusion suggests Vivo is keeping the X500 firmly in flagship territory.
The broader X500 lineup is starting to take shape
Earlier signs from the GSM Association’s IMEI database suggested that Vivo may be preparing three models in this family: the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro, and Vivo X500e. That naming pattern also hints that Vivo could skip the X400 series entirely.
The jump may be tied to tetraphobia, the common avoidance of the number 4 among some Chinese brands. If that proves true, the X500 family would mark a clean break in naming as well as positioning.
The Pro model appears even more ambitious
Leaks about the Vivo X500 Pro point to a 6.8-inch to 6.9-inch 2K LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The model is also said to include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a feature usually reserved for higher-end devices.
Its performance setup is rumored to move beyond the standard model with MediaTek’s next-generation Dimensity 9600. The chip is said to use a 2nm process and target better power efficiency, stronger sustained performance, and improved AI capabilities.
Camera hardware on the Pro is also expected to be more aggressive. Vivo is reportedly testing a new 50-megapixel LOFIC sensor designed to improve dynamic range, along with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
Charging and endurance remain central to the Pro version too
The Vivo X500 Pro is also said to carry a battery larger than 7,000mAh, paired with 100W fast charging. That would reinforce Vivo’s push to make battery life a defining feature across the lineup, not just on the standard model.
Meanwhile, the X500e remains the least detailed member of the family. It is expected to serve as the more affordable entry point, but specific hardware information has not yet surfaced.
For now, the standard Vivo X500 appears to be the most attention-grabbing model in the group. A flat display, periscope zoom camera, Dimensity 9500, and a 7,500mAh battery make it sound like a flagship built to challenge rivals on endurance as much as on performance.
