Yamaha has given the MX King 150 a sharper racing identity with the arrival of the Prima Pramac Livery edition. The model targets riders who want a sportier daily motorcycle while also carrying a strong MotoGP-inspired visual theme.
Priced at Rp29.9 million on the road Jakarta, the special edition sits above the regular MX King 150 range and is offered in limited numbers. Yamaha positions it as a more exclusive choice for consumers drawn to racing style and a distinctive road presence.
A racing look built around MotoGP appeal
The main inspiration comes from the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team. Yamaha introduced the special edition after seeing strong enthusiasm from Indonesian fans, especially around Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP rider Toprak Razgatlıoğlu.
Toprak’s visit to Jakarta in early 2026 helped raise his visibility among local motorcycle enthusiasts. Yamaha then translated that interest into a street model with a racing liveried appearance.
The result is an MX King 150 variant aimed at riders who want their motorcycle to feel more connected to the racing world. It also extends the model’s “King of Street” image with a more exclusive visual package.
Part of a wider special-edition strategy
Rifki Maulana, Manager Public Relations, Yamaha Riding Academy & Community at PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing, said Yamaha has been rolling out several special MX King 150 editions throughout 2026. One of them was the MX King 150 Special Livery Yamaha 70th Anniversary, which arrived earlier in the year.
According to Rifki, the new Prima Pramac Livery continues Yamaha’s effort to offer racing-themed versions for buyers who like the motorsport connection. He also described the MX King 150 as one of the brand’s long-standing sport cub favorites because of its proven performance and design.
What the special edition adds
The MX King 150 Prima Pramac Livery joins a lineup that already includes the standard Blue, Silver, and Cyber City variants. Those regular versions are priced at Rp29 million on the road Jakarta, while the Yamaha 70th Anniversary special edition is listed at Rp29.2 million on the road Jakarta.
That pricing places the Prima Pramac version as the most exclusive option in the current MX King 150 family. The limited availability also reinforces its position as a collector-style release for riders who want something different from the regular lineup.
Familiar hardware with a sportier presentation
Beyond the new graphics, the MX King 150 keeps the aggressive styling that has defined the model for years. The front section uses three lamps, consisting of two low beams and one high beam, and all of them use LED technology.
Yamaha also equips the motorcycle with a hazard lamp for emergency situations. A Light Frame Design helps keep the bike light and easy to handle in urban riding conditions.
The folding footpegs support maneuverability, while the rear monoshock suspension adds to the sporty riding position. The package is completed by wide tubeless tires on 17-inch wheels and a double disc brake setup for stronger stopping performance.
150 cc engine and digital cockpit
Under the bodywork, the MX King 150 uses a 150 cc fuel-injection engine with four valves and a five-speed transmission. Yamaha states that it produces 11.3 kW at 8,500 rpm and 13.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.
The engine uses liquid cooling, along with Forged Piston and DiASil Cylinder technology to improve durability, lightness, and strength. A digital speedometer with a futuristic layout rounds out the equipment list and displays key riding information clearly.
With its MotoGP-inspired livery, familiar hardware, and limited-edition positioning, the Prima Pramac version gives the MX King 150 a more emotional appeal without changing the core formula. For riders seeking a street cub with racing flair, it becomes the most eye-catching option in Yamaha’s current lineup.
