Geekom is pushing its Ryzen 7 mini PC into a more aggressive price tier, with the A8 now discounted 20% to $519 until July 2. The offer places a compact desktop in the spotlight at a time when buyers are looking for stronger work and productivity hardware without the bulk of a traditional PC.
The appeal of the A8 is not limited to price. It combines an AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS processor with eight cores, 16 threads, and a boost clock of up to 5.1 GHz, giving it the kind of performance that fits office work, creative tasks, photo editing, and lighter video work.
Small chassis, practical mobility
Geekom built the A8 around an aluminum body that measures just 112.2 × 112.2 × 38 mm. At 0.47 liters and 450 grams, it is designed to disappear on a desk while still remaining easy to move between workspaces.
That compact footprint makes the mini PC a practical choice for users who want a portable workstation rather than a large desktop tower. It also helps the A8 fit into setups where space is limited, but versatility still matters.
Hardware aimed at everyday productivity
Inside, the A8 ships with 16 GB of dual-channel DDR5 SODIMM memory, and the configuration can be upgraded later. Storage comes from a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 ×4 SSD, with expansion support up to 4 TB.
The 45 W CPU power profile helps position the system as a balanced mini PC for daily use. It is not built as a gaming-first machine, but the Radeon 780M iGPU gives it enough graphics capability for light gaming alongside office and content work.
Ports and wireless support are unusually complete
Geekom also gives the A8 a broad set of connectivity options. Wireless support includes Wi‑Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, while wired networking is handled by 2.5 Gb Ethernet for more stable connections.
The front panel offers 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and the power button. Around the back are a USB4 40 Gbps Type-C port, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, 1 HDMI 2.0 port, 1 USB 2.0 Type-A port, and DC power input.
An SD card slot sits on the side of the device as well. For users who move files often or rely on external accessories, that layout adds a useful layer of flexibility.
A higher-spec sibling is also on sale
Geekom is discounting the A7 Max by 20% too, and that model uses an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS with eight cores and 16 threads. It also comes with 16 GB of DDR5 SODIMM memory and a 1 TB SSD.
The A7 Max is listed at $587 with code “NCGKA7MAX” until July 2. Compared with the A8, it adds two extra front USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one additional 2.5G RJ45 port, plus one more USB4 port and one extra HDMI 2.0 output on the rear.
Summer Sale adds broader pressure on prices
Beyond those model-specific offers, Geekom is also running a Summer Sale across its store with discounts ranging from 15% to 50%. The promotion runs from June 15 to June 30 and widens the appeal for shoppers comparing compact Ryzen machines.
With the A8 priced at $519, the A7 Max at $587, and storewide discounts reaching as high as 50%, Geekom is using the season’s promotions to make its mini PC lineup look far more competitive. For buyers who want Ryzen performance in a small chassis, the timing is unusually favorable.
