GTA 6 Pre-Orders Open at Midnight, Ultimate Edition Buyers Get First Shot

Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders will begin on 25 June, with access opening at 12:00 AM local time in most regions. That timing makes the rollout uneven across the world, and it means some markets in the Asia-Pacific region will be able to place orders before many others.

The first wave is set to reach New Zealand, followed by Australia, Japan, and South Korea. From there, the opening will move through India, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, North America, and Latin America according to each country’s time zone.

Digital stores are the only confirmed pre-order route

For now, pre-orders are available only through official digital storefronts on current-generation consoles. Players will need the PlayStation Store for PS5 or the Microsoft Store for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Physical editions are expected closer to launch and are said to include a download code rather than a disc-based release. Rockstar has not announced pricing for either edition, leaving buyers without final cost details for Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition.

The earliest confirmed start times by region

The schedule begins at midnight local time in several major markets. India will open at 12:00 AM IST on 25 June, while the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are listed at 12:00 AM GST and 12:00 AM AST respectively.

In Europe, the United Kingdom starts at 12:00 AM BST on 25 June, and several major markets including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and Sweden follow 12:00 AM CEST. Australia’s Sydney region is set for 12:00 AM AEST, while Japan and South Korea open at 12:00 AM JST and 12:00 AM KST.

North America joins later in its own local midnight windows. Toronto and New York are set for 12:00 AM EDT on 25 June, Los Angeles for 12:00 AM PDT, and Mexico is listed with local midnight timing.

Brazil will open at 12:00 AM BRT, Argentina at 12:00 AM ART, and South Africa at 12:00 AM SAST. The staggered rollout reflects the local-time approach Rockstar is using for the global launch of pre-orders.

What Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition include

Rockstar has confirmed two purchase options for Grand Theft Auto VI. Standard Edition includes the full game and eligible pre-order bonuses.

Ultimate Edition adds a wider set of extras, including exclusive vehicles, premium weapons, special outfits, business bonuses, additional customization items, and exclusive side missions. The company has not yet disclosed how much each edition will cost.

Launch timeline is already set

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for global release on 19 November 2026. It will be the first major GTA release from Rockstar since Grand Theft Auto V arrived in 2013.

Digital buyers will also have a pre-load window. Rockstar says players who pre-order will be able to start downloading the game on 12 November, giving them time to prepare before the global release date.

With demand expected to spike once midnight arrives in each region, players who already know their platform and preferred edition are likely to move quickly when the store pages go live.
