Retroid Opens Pocket Nova Accessory Lineup, A $5 Add-On Leads the List

Author: Qoo Media

Retroid has opened pre-orders for the Pocket Nova with an official accessory lineup that arrives at the same time as the handheld itself. The move gives buyers a ready-made set of extras designed specifically for the device, instead of forcing them to wait for third-party alternatives.

The range is broad enough to cover protection, ergonomics, customization, and expanded functionality. It includes a carrying case, a TPU grip case, replacement buttons, a screen attachment for a second display, and more.

Protection and portability come first

At the top of the accessory list is the Retroid Pocket Nova Carrying Case, priced at $10. The hard case comes in black and includes analog stick bulges, a security strap, an internal pocket for accessories, and a detachable hand strap.

Retroid says the case works with both the flat back shell and the bumped back shell. It is not compatible with the external TPU grip, however, which limits how much protection and grip can be combined in one setup.

For users who want a lighter option, Retroid also sells a drawstring pouch for $5. That black pouch is the simplest choice in the lineup and is likely to appeal to anyone who does not want a bulkier case.

Ergonomics and personalization options are built in

The Pocket Nova ships with a flat back shell, but pre-order buyers will receive a bumped back shell at no extra cost. Retroid says the bumped design improves ergonomics, although it makes the handheld less pocket-friendly.

The bumped back shell is also sold separately for $5. It comes in seven handheld colors, and the package includes four screws, a screwdriver, and a pick for removing the flat shell.

Retroid is also offering a glass screen protector for $5, which is likewise included free with pre-order units. That makes basic display protection available from the start without requiring an extra purchase.

Button customization is another part of the package. The full button set costs $5 and includes the D-pad, ABXY, Start, Select, Home, and Return buttons, along with tweezers, two screwdrivers, a pick, and eight screws.

The button set is available in seven handheld colors as well, giving Pocket Nova owners a simple way to change the device’s look.

Two higher-end accessories are already confirmed as compatible

Beyond the Pocket Nova-specific items, Retroid has confirmed support for two other products. The Retroid Dual Screen Add-on, priced at $69, and the Retroid Official Dock, priced at $29, both work with the handheld.

The Dual Screen Add-on adds a second display to the Pocket Nova. The dock, meanwhile, lets the device charge while also connecting HDMI, ethernet, and other USB accessories at the same time.

Taken together, the official lineup gives the Pocket Nova a surprisingly complete ecosystem from the start. Buyers can choose between basic protection, deeper ergonomics, visual customization, and expansion options without leaving Retroid’s own store.
