Riot Games is preparing a major shift for Teamfight Tactics with Enchanted Wilds, a new set that pushes the game into a mystical forest filled with spirits, magical creatures, and new layers of decision-making. The standout addition is Wisp, a mechanic designed to do more than deliver bonuses and instead reshape how players manage tempo during a match.
The set was introduced through a TFT Dev Drop and is scheduled to arrive on the Public Beta Environment, or PBE, starting July 28, 2026. Riot Games says Enchanted Wilds will also introduce new traits, origins, legendary champions, and cosmetics aimed at making each match feel like a different kind of adventure.
Wisp Brings a New Kind of Match Decision
Wisp appears in the shop and can be used once as a temporary source of power. The system expands on the Charms mechanic that previously appeared in Magic N’ Mayhem.
Its effects cover several directions, including combat power, economic boosts, extra Experience, or high-risk options with larger rewards. Players can buy one Wisp each round, and the available choices become stronger and more varied as the match progresses.
Riot has also refreshed the system with new visuals, more Wisp variations, and progression that evolves throughout the game. Each Wisp comes with its own animation, including running, jumping, swimming, and flying across the screen in an Enchanted Wilds style.
Traits and Origins Open More Composition Paths
Enchanted Wilds introduces a new wave of traits and origins that give players more room to experiment. One of the most notable is Riftbeasts, which brings iconic monsters from League of Legends into TFT through the Alpha Mark system.
With Alpha Mark, players can strengthen Riftbeasts and receive different buffs before eventually summoning the Elder Dragon when the trait reaches its peak. Elderwood also joins the set, placing magical plants on the battlefield to provide defensive utility, stronger allies, and frontline support.
Sunbeam, Moonbeam, and Eclipse are linked as three traits with distinct synergies. Sunbeam grants shields and bonus magic damage, Moonbeam increases attack speed and magic damage, while the hidden Eclipse trait activates when Sunbeam and Moonbeam are both active and adds a special effect to the lowest-HP enemy.
Blossom also returns as a trait that empowers all Wisps and creates new interactions with the system as the trait level rises. On paper, these additions give players more reasons to pursue flexible compositions instead of repeating the same pattern in every match.
Legendary Champions Add Another Layer of Pressure
The new set also brings several Legendary Champions with unusual approaches. Draven arrives with a bounty system that assigns personal objectives during a match, with rewards growing larger once the target is completed.
Ivern enters through the exclusive Greenfather trait, which allows players to grow a forest on the board. Each tree grants a different bonus, and at the highest level the entire arena transforms into God-Willow.
Lux returns as a flexible Legendary Champion that can appear with different origins in a single match. That mechanic opens even more composition variety, especially for players who want to adapt their synergy plan as the game develops.

Cosmetics and the Competitive Calendar
Alongside Enchanted Wilds, Riot Games is preparing several new cosmetics, including Chibi Soul Fighter Jinx, Chibi Office Aatrox, the Jinx’s Tournament of Chaos arena, and Unbound variants for Spirit Blossom Springs Aphelios and Coven LeBlanc.
Riot also announced Convergence Fest, a community event that combines the TFT Vegas Open and the Riftbound North America Regional Championship. The event will take place from December 11 to 13, 2026, in Las Vegas, United States, with competitions, community activities, and chances for players to meet one another.
Teamfight Tactics Design Lead Wittrock said Enchanted Wilds is built to deliver a more flexible and exploratory experience. Riot’s own framing points to a set designed to make each match feel like a new adventure through combinations of traits, mechanics, and strategies players can continue testing.
