Motorola Razr Fold Brings a 6,000 mAh Battery and 165 Hz Cover Display to Foldables

Motorola Razr Fold enters Indonesia with two specifications that could reshape expectations for premium foldable phones: a 6,000 mAh battery and a 165 Hz cover display. The device also combines a 2K inner screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 performance, and a three-camera 50 MP system.

The phone is positioned against established competitors in the premium foldable segment. At its Jakarta launch event, Motorola Indonesia Product Portfolio Head Zulfahmi identified camera quality as one of the main reasons the company is confident about bringing the device to Indonesia.

1. A 50 MP Foldable Camera System

Motorola says the Razr Fold ranked first in the foldable and flip smartphone category in DXOMARK testing, with a camera score of 164. Its setup uses three 50 MP sensors rather than treating the camera system as a compromise caused by the folding design.

Camera Specification
Main camera 50 MP, Sony LYTIA 828
Periscope telephoto 50 MP, Sony LYTIA 600
Ultrawide 50 MP

2. High-End Video Features

The main camera records video at up to 8K, while all three sensors support 4K recording. The phone also supports 4K slow motion at 120 frames per second.

Dolby Vision is available on the main and periscope cameras, and Motorola claims the combination with the Sony LYTIA 828 sensor provides a dynamic range up to six times wider than typical camera systems. Optical image stabilization, autofocus, lossless zoom up to 6x, and hybrid zoom up to 100x are also included.

3. Large Battery and Fast Charging

The 6,000 mAh battery is larger than the 4,800-5,000 mAh capacity commonly found in many premium foldables. Charging support includes 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Motorola has presented battery capacity as a central priority for daily use. The company chose to emphasize power capacity rather than add more storage, while the device offers 256 GB of internal storage.

4. Two Bright, High-Refresh-Rate Screens

The 6.6-inch pOLED cover display reaches a 165 Hz refresh rate and 6,000 nits of peak brightness. It has a 2,520 x 1,080-pixel resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and a 10-bit panel.

Opening the device reveals an 8.1-inch LTPO 2K display with a 2,484 x 2,232-pixel resolution and up to 6,200 nits of peak brightness. The outer panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.

5. Reinforced Hinge and Water Protection

The folding mechanism uses a titanium-reinforced hinge designed to improve durability during everyday use. Razr Fold also provides protection against water exposure, including water pressure and immersion.

A protective case with raised edges is included in the retail box. Its design is intended to help protect the display and camera module when the phone is placed on a table.

6. Snapdragon Performance with On-Device AI

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powers the phone alongside 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Motorola claims an AnTuTu score of approximately 3.2 million points.

A vapor chamber measuring about 6,200 square millimeters is used to help manage heat. Moto AI is also integrated with Gemini to support several artificial intelligence functions directly on the device.

7. Multitasking and Laptop Mode

Razr Fold supports side-by-side view, free windows, and split screen, with a three-finger gesture available to activate screen division. The layout can be arranged horizontally or vertically according to the user’s needs.

When partially folded on a table, the phone can enter laptop mode. The upper section can show a video or document, while the lower section becomes a control panel, keyboard, or trackpad.

Sound by Bose and Dolby Atmos support the entertainment experience. In Indonesia, Motorola Razr Fold is priced at around Rp25,5 juta, with a Pantone Deli White option and a July 13-20, 2026 promotion offering bonuses worth up to Rp10,7 juta in total.
