Motorola has introduced two wireless earbud options in Indonesia with a substantial gap in price and features. The Moto Buds 2 is priced at Rp 499.000, while the Moto Buds 2 Plus sells for Rp1.999.000 with Bose-branded audio technology and active noise cancellation.
The lower-priced model focuses on long battery life and portability rather than an extensive premium feature set. Motorola says the Moto Buds 2 can deliver up to 48 hours of total use when paired with its charging case.
| Model | Key Features | Protection | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moto Buds 2 | 11 mm and 5 mm drivers, compact design | IPX4, up to 48 hours with case | Rp 499.000 |
| Moto Buds 2 Plus | Sound by Bose, dynamic ANC, spatial audio, six microphones | IP54 | Rp1.999.000 |
Battery life and compact design for Moto Buds 2
The Moto Buds 2 uses a dual-driver arrangement, combining an 11 mm main driver with a 5 mm additional driver. The configuration is intended to handle different audio frequency ranges for a fuller listening output.
Motorola has not detailed audio codec support or ANC availability for the Moto Buds 2. Its endurance claim is therefore a central point for buyers looking for a practical device for regular use.
The earbuds have a compact form intended for comfortable extended wear and easier travel. They also carry an IPX4 rating, providing resistance to water splashes from different directions during light outdoor activity or exercise.
Motorola will offer the Moto Buds 2 in several colours, including Carbon and Violet Ice. The model is positioned as the more accessible choice in the company’s new earbud lineup.
Moto Buds 2 Plus adds Bose audio and ANC
The Moto Buds 2 Plus takes a different route with Sound by Bose as its leading audio feature. Motorola positions the model for users seeking a more premium sound experience at a price below many higher-end audio products.
Its spatial audio feature is designed to create a broader and more immersive sound field for music and films. Dynamic active noise cancellation is included to reduce surrounding sound during listening sessions.
Six microphones are another prominent element of the Moto Buds 2 Plus. Motorola says the microphones help capture voice and adjust audio according to environmental conditions.
The higher-end model has an IP54 rating for protection against limited dust exposure and water splashes. This makes it suitable for daily use and light exercise, although Motorola has positioned its audio capabilities as the primary distinction.
Motorola expands its device ecosystem
Motorola Indonesia Product Portfolio Head Zulfahmi said the company is no longer focused only on smartphones. He made the statement during the Motorola Razr Fold launch in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
The company is also considering additional ecosystem accessories, including protective cases and chargers. Those product plans remain under consideration, while the two earbuds establish separate entry-level and premium paths for the brand.
