Samsung’s latest pricing move in India has made the Galaxy S25 family look far more attractive just as the Galaxy S26 becomes more widely available. The biggest impact is being felt across the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the standard Galaxy S25, and the more affordable S25 FE models, all of which now sit at noticeably more competitive price points.
That shift matters because premium phones have been getting more expensive in many markets due to component costs. Samsung’s revised pricing stands out by giving buyers more room to consider an older flagship without losing access to a high-end experience.
Galaxy S25 Ultra sees the clearest drop
Among the adjusted models, the Galaxy S25 Ultra gets the most attention. Its base version now starts at Rs 99,999, down from the launch price of Rs 1,29,999, which means a cut of Rs 30,000 on the entry configuration.
The 512GB version has also been reduced, now listed at Rs 1,14,999 instead of Rs 1,41,999. With that change, the Ultra model has moved into a price range that may appeal to buyers who want flagship hardware without paying the newest-model premium.
The standard Galaxy S25 becomes a much stronger value option
The price correction is even sharper on the regular Galaxy S25. The 256GB model now costs Rs 62,999, compared with its launch price of Rs 94,999.
Its 512GB version has dropped to Rs 77,999 from Rs 1,14,999. Both configurations are down by Rs 32,000, which makes the standard S25 one of the most aggressively adjusted phones in the lineup.
That kind of reduction changes the phone’s position in the market. Buyers who previously saw the gap to Samsung’s latest flagship as too wide now have a more realistic entry point into the Galaxy S25 series.
S25 FE and other lower-cost variants are also cheaper
Samsung has not limited the discounting to the premium tier. The more affordable Galaxy S25 FE variants have also been corrected, strengthening the lower end of the series at a time when the new Galaxy S26 is already reaching more markets.
The 128GB version now sells for Rs 44,999, down from Rs 59,999 at launch. The 256GB model is priced at Rs 50,999, while the 512GB version now sits at Rs 65,999.
Compared with their original launch prices of Rs 79,999 and Rs 99,999 for the higher-capacity options, those versions have been reduced by as much as Rs 29,000 and Rs 34,000. That keeps the more affordable Galaxy S25 line relevant for buyers who are watching value closely.
The gap to Galaxy S26 is now much easier to notice
These price revisions arrive as the Galaxy S26 is already more broadly available, including in India. Samsung has priced the Galaxy S26 Ultra from Rs 1,39,999 for the base variant, which places it well above the Galaxy S25 Ultra after the latest discount.
The gap between the two Ultra models now stands at about Rs 40,000. For many buyers, that difference will be a major part of the decision, especially because the S25 Ultra still keeps much of the flagship hardware experience while missing only a few newer touches such as the privacy display, a larger camera lens, and slightly faster charging.
For the non-Ultra models, the main differences between the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S26 are said to be the processor and battery. The Galaxy S26 uses the Exynos 2,600 chipset and a 4300mAh battery, while the Galaxy S25 relies on the Snapdragon 8 Elite and a 4,000mAh battery.
Beyond those points, the reference report says the two phones are otherwise similar in specifications. With the Galaxy S26 priced from Rs 87,999 in India, Samsung’s cuts to the Galaxy S25 range now create a wider set of choices for users who want a premium Samsung phone without moving straight to the latest release.
