Casio has added three new box-style digital watches to its Standard lineup, and the W-738H series is already listed on the company’s official Singapore online store. The appearance of the product pages suggests that a launch is close, even though Casio has not announced an exact release date.
The listed models are W-738H-1AV, W-738H-1BV, and W-738H-3AV. They share the same core design and functions, while their differences are limited to case color and display style.
A familiar digital shape with small but useful changes
The W-738H sits in Casio’s mid-sized digital category and keeps the square profile long associated with the brand’s classic models. At the same time, the watch is made slightly more compact for everyday wear, which should make it easier to use on a daily basis.
Three variants are currently shown. The W-738H-1AV comes in black with a light display, the W-738H-1BV also uses a black case but pairs it with a dark display, and the W-738H-3AV arrives in khaki with a light display.
Features built for practical use
Casio equips the series with a digital display that supports both 12-hour and 24-hour formats. The main screen also shows the day and date directly, which reduces the need to switch through extra settings during use.
The watch includes dual time, making it possible to monitor two time zones at once without changing the main time setting. That feature will likely be useful for users who regularly track schedules across different locations.
For everyday timing tasks, the W-738H also offers a precision stopwatch and a countdown timer of up to 24 hours. In addition, it includes a daily alarm and an hourly time signal, both of which support routine time management.
Vibration alerts are a key point of interest
One of the most notable additions listed for the series is vibration alerts. According to the product listing, the vibration function can be linked to the alarm, timer, and certain time notifications.
That detail sets the W-738H apart from many basic digital watches in the same category. It also suggests a more discreet alert system for users who prefer tactile notifications over sound alone.
Built for visibility and everyday durability
Casio has added an LED backlight so the display remains readable in dark conditions. The watch also comes with a full automatic calendar, which helps reduce the need for manual date adjustments over time.
On the durability side, the W-738H offers water resistance up to 100 m. Combined with the resin case measuring 47.0 x 42.8 x 13.5 mm, the model is positioned as a lightweight and practical digital watch for regular use.
Each variant is paired with a resin strap that matches the case color. Casio also says the strap hole spacing has been made closer together to allow more precise wrist adjustment, and that design choice is tied to the vibration feature as well, since a better fit can help users feel vibration alerts more clearly.
Price and availability remain limited for now
In Singapore, all three Standard W-738H models are listed at S$69 each on the official Casio store. The product pages already label them as coming soon, but the company has not provided a firm launch schedule.
There is also no confirmation yet on availability outside Singapore. That means it remains unclear whether the series will reach markets such as the United States or Germany.
Casio’s new W-738H lineup keeps the brand’s familiar digital identity intact while leaning on a long battery life, dual time support, 100 m water resistance, and vibration alerts as its main selling points.
