Suzuki Unveils New Burgman Street 2026, A More Refined And Practical Premium Scooter

Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced the latest generation of the Burgman Street, bringing a fresh update to its 125 cc premium scooter. The new version focuses on a more refined look, greater day-to-day practicality, and the same comfort-oriented character that has long defined the model.

The update is aimed at riders who want an elegant scooter that still works well in daily use. Suzuki says the new Burgman Street was developed in response to customer expectations for style, efficiency, and convenience in one package.

A sharper design direction

The latest Burgman Street adopts Suzuki’s “Sleek Modern” design language, which gives the scooter a more assertive and upscale presence. Its body lines now look sharper, while the overall proportions are meant to create a more premium impression on the road.

Several visual details help reinforce that image. The scooter uses split LED headlamps, more compact turn signals, and a new LED tail lamp, while the metallic-style emblem, dark windshield, and redesigned exhaust add to the updated appearance.

Comfort remains central

Even with the styling changes, the Burgman Street keeps the relaxed riding position that has always been part of its identity. The long, cushioned seat remains in place, and the wide footboard supports a more comfortable posture during everyday riding.

Suzuki also includes flexible footrests to improve daily usability. This setup makes the scooter suitable for city travel, especially for shorter trips and routine commuting where comfort matters as much as appearance.

Engine tuned for efficient urban use

Under the bodywork, the new Burgman Street uses Suzuki Eco Performance, or SEP. The single-cylinder 124 cc engine is claimed to produce around 6.2 kW and 10.2 Nm.

Suzuki has tuned the engine to respond more strongly at low to mid-range speeds. That character is intended to support smooth acceleration and efficient operation in stop-and-go traffic, which is where a scooter like this is most likely to spend its time.

Practical features get a bigger role

Storage and daily convenience are also part of the update. The fuel tank now holds 5.5 liters, while underseat storage has grown to about 24.6 liters, giving riders more space for everyday items.

There are also front compartments, a multifunction hook, and a USB port to support modern commuting needs. Features such as Easy Start, a side-stand safety function, and a water-resistant switch add to the scooter’s practical appeal.

Two versions with connected features

The new Burgman Street comes in two variants: the Burgman Street Ride Connect Edition and the Burgman Street Ride Connect TFT Edition. Both versions include connectivity features designed to make riding more convenient.

The TFT variant stands out with a 4.2-inch color TFT display. It also comes with keyless operation, adding a more advanced feel to the scooter’s premium positioning.

Built on rider feedback

Since its first introduction in 2018, the Burgman Street has continued to evolve with regular updates. For this latest generation, Suzuki says the development process was shaped by input from riders who wanted a balance of attractive design, comfort, and performance.

That approach is reflected in the mix of updates across styling, storage, and connectivity. The Burgman Street now presents itself as a premium scooter that keeps daily practicality at the center, while still offering a more modern and sophisticated package for urban use.
