Realme is preparing to enter Indonesia’s entry-level smartphone market with a message that is hard to miss: durability comes first. The Realme C100 is set to stand out with an 8,000 mAh battery, water resistance, and a body built for harsher conditions than most affordable phones usually face.
That approach gives the device a clear identity in a crowded segment. Instead of competing only on standard specifications, Realme is positioning the C100 as a practical option for users who need a phone that can handle daily use more confidently.
A battery built to last longer
The main headline feature is the 8,000 mAh battery, which Realme says is the first in its segment. The large capacity is aimed at users who want longer screen time without repeatedly looking for a charger or carrying a power bank.
Realme also links the battery advantage to common daily activities. Navigation, streaming, and social media are among the use cases highlighted for people with active routines.
Protection against water, dust, and impact
The C100 is not only about endurance on the inside. Realme has also given it IP69 Pro certification, which covers protection against water and dust, with claimed resistance up to a depth of 6 meters for 30 minutes.
To improve usability in wet conditions, the phone includes Rain Touch Mode. Realme says the feature can improve touch accuracy by up to 35 percent and still work when hands are wet or when the user wears gloves.
Physical durability is also part of the package. The device carries MIL-STD-810H certification, and Realme claims it can survive drops from up to 2 meters.
Extra layers on the body and screen
Realme adds ArmorShell Protection and ArmorShell Glass to strengthen the phone further. These additions are meant to help keep the body rigid and reduce the impact of bumps or minor accidents.
That combination makes the C100 unusual in the entry-level category. Water resistance, dust resistance, and drop protection are still not common priorities in phones at this price level.
Built for active users
Realme is aiming the C100 at young users who want a phone that feels practical in everyday life. The target audience appears to be people who move around often and use their devices in less predictable environments.
That includes situations such as rain, splashes, dusty commutes, or accidental drops during use. In those conditions, the C100 is presented as a device that offers an extra layer of protection.
Promotions ahead of launch
Before the launch, Realme has also started a TikTok campaign called “realme C100 Aman Ajaaa Challenge” together with creator Ganta. The campaign invites user participation through creative content.
Participants are said to have a chance to win prizes worth millions of rupiah. The promotional push fits the phone’s youth-focused positioning and matches its focus on durability, practicality, and everyday resilience.
The Realme C100 is scheduled to launch on 7 May, entering the entry-level market with three core selling points: a large battery, protection from water and dust, and a body designed to handle tougher daily use.
