Trump Mobile has begun telling preorder customers that the T1 Phone will start shipping this week, marking the clearest sign yet that the long-delayed handset is finally moving into distribution. Even so, the company has not provided a specific delivery date for each order, leaving many buyers waiting for a more precise timeline.
The update was posted on Instagram and Facebook on Wednesday. Trump Mobile said the T1 Phone has arrived and that preorder customers will receive email updates, while shipments begin this week and orders are filled in preorder sequence.
That promise matters because the device has already spent months slipping past its original launch target. When the T1 Phone was introduced in June 2025 alongside the launch of Trump Mobile’s wireless service, the company said the smartphone would arrive in August 2025.
That did not happen, and the release has continued to drift without a firm shipping schedule. The repeated delays have left early interest in the gold-colored phone mixed with doubt, especially as the company has not given a detailed breakdown of when individual buyers should expect delivery.
A premium Android phone with a political identity
The T1 Phone is being positioned as Trump Mobile’s first premium Android smartphone. Trump Jr. and Eric Trump introduced the wireless service as a broader offering that also supports compatible phones from brands such as Apple and Samsung.
The device itself carries a gold finish and branded imagery that includes the American flag and the Trump Mobile logo on the rear panel. Trump Mobile’s site lists a 6.78-inch touchscreen, Android 15, a 50-megapixel main camera, a fingerprint sensor, and quick-charge battery support.
The promotional price is listed at $499. When preorders opened in June 2025, customers were asked to place a refundable $100 deposit to reserve a unit. Trump Mobile has not disclosed an exact preorder figure, although some reports have estimated interest could reach hundreds of thousands of sign-ups.
Why buyers still have reasons to hesitate
The shipping announcement does not remove the uncertainty built into the preorder terms. Trump Mobile’s own terms and conditions say the deposit does not guarantee delivery within any specific period.
They also state that the company does not guarantee the device will ever be released commercially, that regulatory approval including FCC authorization will be obtained, that carrier certification will be secured, or that production will begin or continue. The final purchase price may also change before the balance is paid.
Those terms help explain why the latest shipping notice is being treated cautiously by many would-be buyers. A refund remains available for customers who do not want to wait longer, which is especially relevant after the preorder period stayed open through the extended delay.
The company has also faced questions over its manufacturing claims. Early promotional language described the phone as “proudly designed and built in the United States,” but that wording was later removed from official materials.
The current site language is more restrained, describing the phone as “designed with American values in mind” and “shaped by American innovation.” That shift has added to questions about where the phone is actually made and how much of the manufacturing process takes place in the United States.
Trump Mobile CEO Pat O’Brien previously acknowledged the delay in comments to USA Today. He said the extra time was being used to improve the phone so it would become “an amazing product.”
For now, the company’s message is simple: the T1 Phone has arrived, shipping starts this week, and preorder buyers should watch for email updates. What remains missing is the kind of order-by-order delivery detail that would turn that message into full certainty.
