Xiaomi has added another smart home device to its lineup with a clear focus on speed and energy use. The new Mijia Home Air Conditioner Powerful Airflow Over 1.5 HP is now available in China, and it is aimed at buyers who want fast temperature control without giving up smart features.
The model is designed to handle both cooling and heating, making it suitable for use across different seasons. Xiaomi is positioning it as a higher-performance option in a crowded smart air conditioner market, where comfort, efficiency, and app control often matter just as much as raw output.
Fast airflow is the main selling point
At the center of the product is a strong airflow system rated at 900 m³/h. Xiaomi says the unit can begin heating a room in 30 seconds and start cooling it in just 15 seconds, which places the emphasis on quick response rather than only final room temperature.
To support that performance, Xiaomi uses 118 mm fan blades. The company says this helps deliver a stronger and more effective airflow, allowing the air conditioner to push air across the room more quickly.
Energy efficiency remains part of the package
Despite the performance focus, Xiaomi is also highlighting efficiency. The air conditioner carries a Super Class 1 Energy Efficiency label and an annual performance factor, or APF, of 6.01.
Xiaomi also claims its energy-saving algorithm can cut power consumption by up to 40%. That makes the unit more appealing to buyers who want a smart air conditioner that balances strong output with lower operating costs.
Smart features and ecosystem support
The Mijia Home Air Conditioner Powerful Airflow Over 1.5 HP also includes self-cleaning mode. Users can control the device remotely through Xiaomi’s official app, and the app supports OTA updates for the unit.
Xiaomi has also built in HyperOS Connect and smart diagnostic functions. Those additions allow the air conditioner to connect more deeply with the company’s broader smart home ecosystem and support more advanced device management.
Price and availability
In China, Xiaomi has priced the air conditioner at CNY 3,999, or around $589. The company has not said whether the model will be released in Europe.
The launch shows that Xiaomi continues to push its smart home portfolio with products that combine rapid cooling, heating support, and connected features in a single device.
