Poco has quietly expanded its tablet lineup again, and the new model arrives with a familiar formula. Poco Pad C1 appears on Xiaomi’s global site with specifications that closely mirror the Redmi Pad 2 9.7, signaling a straightforward rebrand rather than a fresh hardware direction.
That approach gives the tablet a clearly defined profile from the start. It is built for everyday use, with a compact display, modest performance hardware, and a large battery that should suit long sessions of streaming, studying, and basic productivity.
A compact screen built for smooth viewing
The main selling point is the 9.7-inch LCD panel, which offers a resolution of 2048 x 1280 pixels. Poco also lists a 120Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness level of 600 nits.
Those numbers place the tablet in a category aimed at portable media consumption rather than premium performance. The relatively small footprint should also make it easier to carry than larger tablets in the same class.
Hardware focused on daily tasks
Inside, Poco Pad C1 uses the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset. Memory options include 4GB or 6GB of RAM, paired with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
That combination points to a device designed for routine use instead of demanding workloads. It should be a more practical fit for learning, video playback, and light productivity than for users seeking top-tier speed.
Simple cameras and a large battery
The camera setup stays basic with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. This configuration is enough for video calls, document scanning, and simple photos.
Battery life is likely to be one of the stronger parts of the package thanks to a 7,600 mAh battery. Charging is supported through 18W wired charging, keeping the overall setup simple and efficient.
Design and color options
Poco lists the tablet at 226.51 x 147.97 x 7.4 mm, with a weight of 406 grams. That makes it relatively light for a device intended for frequent mobile use.
Color choices are limited to blue and gray. The restrained palette matches the tablet’s practical positioning and keeps the design straightforward.
A familiar twin to Redmi Pad 2 9.7
The most notable detail is that Poco Pad C1 is effectively a rebranded version of Redmi Pad 2 9.7. The Redmi model was released only last month, and Poco is now bringing the same hardware to a wider market under its own name.
Its appearance on Xiaomi’s global website also suggests there will be no separate launch event. For now, pricing has not been announced, and the tablet is expected to begin showing up gradually through global retailers.
