Xiaomi’s New Mijia Pro Washers Promise Cleaner Laundry, Quieter Spin, And Low Prices

Xiaomi is expanding its Mijia Pro home appliance lineup with two new top-loading washing machines that aim to make routine laundry feel cleaner, quieter, and more connected. The two models are built around the same idea: deliver stronger hygiene claims, reduce spin-cycle shake, and fit neatly into Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem.

The new machines come in 10 kg and 12 kg capacities, giving buyers two options for different household needs. Xiaomi is positioning the 10 kg version for general family use, while the 12 kg model is meant for homes that need a larger load in a single wash.

Cleaner wash, less residue

Hygiene is one of the main selling points Xiaomi is pushing with these machines. The company says the antibacterial pulsator on both models can reach an antibacterial rate of 99.99 percent, and it also claims strong removal performance against bacteria such as E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

Xiaomi also highlights a “Zero Stagnant Water” feature designed to reduce leftover dirty water after the washing cycle ends. That matters because standing water inside the system is often seen as a cleanliness concern, especially in machines used frequently.

The company further says the new washers can eliminate mites completely under certain testing conditions. Together, these claims make hygiene a central part of the product identity rather than just an added bonus.

Built to stay steadier during spin

Beyond cleaning performance, Xiaomi is clearly targeting one of the most noticeable pain points in top-loading washers: vibration during spin. Both models use a new-generation DDM direct-drive inverter motor designed to cut vibration and noise.

To keep the machine more stable at high spin speeds, Xiaomi adds layered shock absorption and a balancing system. The goal is to make the washer feel calmer during the noisiest part of the cycle, when shaking is usually most noticeable.

Xiaomi also says the updated washing system improves water efficiency. At the same time, it is claimed to reduce wear on clothes compared with the previous model, which adds another practical benefit for daily use.

Smart home integration stays central

The new Mijia Pro washers are not designed as standalone appliances. Both support Mi Home app connectivity, allowing users to control the machines remotely and schedule wash cycles from their phones.

They also work with Xiaomi’s HyperOS ecosystem, reinforcing the company’s broader push to make household devices feel more connected. For users who already own other Xiaomi products, that integration can create a more unified smart home experience.

This approach also shows how Xiaomi continues to widen its presence beyond smartphones and wearables. In China’s growing smart home market, the Mijia Washing Machine Pro line is another step in strengthening that ecosystem strategy.

Aggressive pricing in China

Xiaomi is keeping the price points relatively accessible for the features being offered. The 10 kg model is priced at 899 yuan, or about 764 yuan after subsidy, while the 12 kg version sells for 1099 yuan before subsidy and around 934 yuan after subsidy.

At those levels, Xiaomi is aiming at buyers who want modern features without moving into the premium segment. The combination of large capacity, antibacterial claims, quieter spin behavior, and app control gives the new washers a clear value-focused pitch in a crowded market.
