Vivo has introduced a new midrange model in China that is built around endurance rather than compromise. The Y600 Turbo combines a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip with a 9,000mAh battery, making it one of the most attention-grabbing launches in its segment.
That setup is paired with features that are usually reserved for more expensive devices. Vivo also gives the phone a 1.5K AMOLED display, 90W fast charging, and IP68 plus IP69 protection, pushing the Y series further into aggressive territory.
Three configurations and three finishes
The Y600 Turbo arrives in three memory variants. The base version offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at CNY 2,299, while the 12GB/256GB model costs CNY 2,599.
At the top end, Vivo offers a 12GB/512GB version for CNY 2,899. Buyers can choose from Dune Gold, Electric Blue, and Millennium Pink.
Large AMOLED panel with high brightness
On the front, Vivo uses a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1260 x 2800 pixel resolution. The screen also supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals.
Vivo claims a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The panel also carries SGS Low Blue Light and TÜV Rheinland Flicker-Free certifications for added viewing comfort.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 leads the performance package
Power comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, paired with the Adreno 810 GPU. Vivo complements that with LPDDR4X RAM of up to 12GB and UFS 3.1 storage of up to 512GB.
The phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. This combination shows that the Y600 Turbo is not only focused on battery life, but also aimed at users who want stronger midrange performance.
Battery, charging, and connectivity
The most distinctive part of the device is its 9,000mAh battery. Vivo matches it with 90W wired charging through USB Type-C, giving the phone a setup designed for long use with fewer interruptions.
Connectivity options include 5G, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi, multi-satellite GPS, and infrared remote control. An optical in-display fingerprint sensor is also included for security and easier unlocking.
Camera setup and durability
For imaging, Vivo equips the Y600 Turbo with a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the phone uses an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Durability is another major part of the device’s appeal. With IP68 and IP69 certification, the Y600 Turbo offers a higher level of dust and water resistance than many phones in its class.
The phone is scheduled to go on sale in China starting May 27, 2026. With its large battery, fast charging, and new chipset, the Y600 Turbo enters a crowded midrange market as a notably ambitious option.
