Oppo Pad 6 Puts AI To Work, Backed By A 144 Hz Display And Dimensity 9500s

The most notable thing about Oppo Pad 6 is not just its speed. Oppo is positioning the tablet as a practical work tool, with AI features that are meant to handle real tasks such as live voice transcription, automatic note summaries, and handwriting enhancement.

That direction makes the device stand out in a crowded premium tablet market. Instead of focusing only on entertainment, Oppo is pushing a larger screen, fast performance, and software functions that fit meetings, reading, document work, and multitasking.

Performance built for heavy workloads

At the center of Oppo Pad 6 is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, a new chip with CPU speeds of up to 3.73 GHz. Oppo pairs it with LPDDR5X RAM of up to 16 GB and UFS 3.1 storage of up to 512 GB.

The company says this hardware combination can record 3K video while running games at up to 144 fps at the same time. That claim puts the Pad 6 closer to the premium productivity category than a typical entertainment-focused tablet.

A display made for long sessions

The tablet uses a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 3,000 x 2,120 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. It also supports 900 nits of peak brightness and DCI-P3 color coverage.

For users who spend longer periods reading or working on screen, Oppo offers a Soft Light Edition. It uses nano-etching technology that is said to reduce reflections by up to 97 percent, along with a paper-like mode designed to make extended reading more comfortable.

AI and software aimed at daily tasks

Oppo Pad 6 runs ColorOS 16 and includes multi-window support for opening several apps at once. It also comes with WPS Office for document work and file sharing across Android, iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.

Another feature is Circle to Search, which lets users circle an object or question on the screen to look up relevant information. Together with the note and transcription tools, the software package is built to fit the kind of fast switching often needed in work and study.

Large battery in a thin body

Power comes from a 10,420 mAh battery, which Oppo says can last up to 56 days on standby. The tablet supports 67-watt fast charging, and Oppo claims the battery is designed to remain in good condition for up to four years of use.

Even with that large battery, the body stays slim at 5.99 mm and weighs around 577 grams. The rear and front cameras are both 8 MP, mainly for selfies and video calls rather than photography.

Connectivity, colors, and prices

For connectivity, Oppo Pad 6 supports WiFi 7 and includes six speakers. It does not have a SIM card slot and it does not include a fingerprint scanner.

The tablet is sold in China in Starlight Blue, Starlight Silver, and Deep Space Gray. It also comes in several memory options, including standard and Soft Light Edition variants.

Oppo launched the Pad 6 alongside the Oppo Reno 16 mid-range phone series. With a new chip, a 144 Hz display, a large battery, and AI tools that are meant to support productivity, the tablet is clearly aimed at users who want one device for both work and entertainment.
