Apple is reportedly preparing a new kind of wearable that is aimed less at flashy augmented reality and more at everyday usefulness. The company is said to be targeting a launch window at the end of 2027 for smart glasses that would lean heavily on AI, putting them in direct competition with Meta.
That approach would mark a clear shift from Apple Vision Pro. Instead of trying to deliver a full AR experience in a premium headset, the glasses are being positioned as something lighter, more practical, and far closer to ordinary eyewear.
