Android 16, 120Hz Display And 6,000mAh Battery Position Lava Bold N2 5G For Budget Buyers

Lava is widening its Bold N2 lineup with a 5G model that puts battery life and display smoothness ahead of flashier features. The Bold N2 5G arrives for buyers who want a low-cost phone with a bigger battery, a 120Hz screen, and support for next-generation mobile connectivity.

The device is also notable because it ships with Android 16 out of the box, a feature that is still uncommon in this price bracket. Lava has paired that with an IP64 rating and doorstep after-sales service, giving the phone a more complete value package than many entry-level rivals.

Display and battery take the lead

Lava equips the Bold N2 5G with a 6.75-inch HD+ display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen uses a waterdrop-style notch for the front camera, and the high refresh rate should make scrolling and video playback feel smoother than on standard panels.

Battery capacity is another major part of the pitch. The phone carries a 6,000mAh battery, and Lava says it can deliver up to 815 minutes of YouTube playback or up to 743 minutes of screen-on time from a single charge.

Built for basic 5G use

Inside, the Bold N2 5G runs on an octa-core Unisoc T8200 chip built on a 6nm process. Lava pairs it with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and the company is offering only this single configuration.

The phone is aimed at users who want a straightforward 5G handset rather than a camera-focused model. That positioning is reflected in the rest of the hardware, which stays practical and cost-conscious throughout the package.

Camera setup stays simple

On the back, the Bold N2 5G includes a dual AI camera system led by a 13-megapixel main sensor. For selfies and video calls, it uses a 5-megapixel front camera.

The camera hardware does not try to compete with more advanced midrange phones. Instead, it matches the device’s wider focus on everyday use, where battery, display, and network support matter more than imaging ambitions.

Pricing, protection, and availability

In India, Lava has set the official price at Rs. 12,999, with a launch price of Rs. 11,999. The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

The Bold N2 5G continues the Bold N2 series after the 4G model that launched in February. That earlier version was priced at Rs. 7,499 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, while the new 5G model adds a 120Hz display, a 6,000mAh battery, IP64 protection, and 5G support.

Sales begin on 9 June 2026 at 12 pm through Amazon India. Lava will offer the phone in Billionaire Blue and Regal Gold.
