REDMI Pad 2 9.7 and Headphone Neo Signal Xiaomi’s Push Toward a More Connected Lifestyle

Xiaomi is expanding REDMI as more than a device line and is pushing it toward a more connected ecosystem. The company has now added two products that are meant to work across daily routines, from productivity and entertainment to mobility.

The new pair consists of REDMI Pad 2 9.7 and REDMI Headphone Neo. Together, they target users who want practical devices that fit study, work, and leisure without moving outside the REDMI family.

A compact tablet built for long-screen use

REDMI Pad 2 9.7 is positioned as the more compact tablet in the REDMI lineup. It carries a 9.7-inch 2K display with up to 120 Hz refresh rate and brightness reaching 600 nits.

Xiaomi also gives the tablet TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly. These labels are relevant for people who spend long hours looking at a screen.

Performance comes from the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 Mobile Platform. The octa-core 6 nm chip can reach up to 2.9 GHz and is aimed at multitasking, productivity, entertainment, and gaming.

The tablet also supports external memory expansion of up to 2 TB. That extra space is intended to help users store documents, photos, videos, apps, and games without running out of capacity too quickly.

Battery, software, and build

Power is handled by a 7,600 mAh battery. Xiaomi says it can last for more than a day on a single charge.

REDMI Pad 2 9.7 runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The system supports document transfer, text copying, and call reception across other Xiaomi devices, while Circle to Search by Google is included for searching information from images.

The tablet uses a unibody metal design with a 7.4 mm thickness. Xiaomi says the device has passed more than 40 durability tests.

The available model is 4GB/64GB, with Graphite Gray and Silver as color choices. Its price is set at Rp2.399.000 and it will start selling on 6 June 2026.

Headphone with ANC and long battery life

Alongside the tablet, Xiaomi introduced REDMI Headphone Neo as a wireless audio option in the same ecosystem. It uses a 40 mm dynamic driver with a titanium diaphragm, designed to deliver balanced bass and treble.

Sound can be adjusted through the Xiaomi Earbuds app, which lets users tune the equalizer to their preference. For noise control, the headphone offers Active Noise Cancellation up to 42 dB with three modes.

For calls, Xiaomi includes triple-mic AI noise reduction. The system is designed to reduce surrounding noise, including wind at speeds of up to 5 meters per second.

Battery life is rated at up to 72 hours with ANC turned off. A 10-minute charge is said to deliver up to 5 hours of music playback.

Wireless or wired use

REDMI Headphone Neo supports both wireless and wired listening through its USB-C port. When used with a cable, it supports Hi-Res Audio for a clearer listening experience.

The product comes in Obsidian Black and Sand White. Xiaomi sets a special price of Rp1.499.000, valid from 6 June to 8 August 2026.

Each purchase also includes a two-month Spotify Premium Standard subscription for new Spotify users. With a compact tablet and an ANC headphone arriving together, Xiaomi is giving REDMI users more options for staying productive and connected throughout the day.
