Acer Pushes Gaming Displays Into New Territory, From Glasses-Free 3D To 1000Hz Speed

Acer is pushing its gaming monitor lineup in a direction that goes beyond raw speed. The latest Predator and Nitro models combine extreme refresh rates, advanced panel technologies, and even glasses-free 3D, signaling a broader attempt to serve competitive gamers, content creators, and users who want a more premium visual experience.

That strategy is visible across several new displays, each aimed at a different kind of user. Some focus on immersion and resolution, while others chase the fastest possible motion handling for esports-style play.

Glasses-free 3D takes the spotlight

Among the most striking models is the Predator XB273K 3D. This 27-inch monitor delivers glasses-free 3D through 3D eye-tracking and a local AI model that converts 2D images into 3D in real time.

Acer pairs that feature with 4K UHD resolution, refresh rates of up to 180Hz, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible. The monitor also works with the SpatialLabs 3D Hub app, which helps users manage 3D settings and access games that already support native 3D output.

Fast motion and image quality in the Predator line

Acer is also targeting high-end esports performance with the Predator X34 F1. This 34-inch curved monitor uses a WQHD QD-OLED panel with a 3440 x 1440 resolution, a 360Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03 ms GTG response time.

Its image-focused specifications include 99% DCI-P3 coverage, Delta E below 2, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The 1800R curve and 21:9 aspect ratio are meant to widen the field of view, while BlueLightShield Pro, Flickerless, Low-Dimming, and ComfyView are included to improve eye comfort during long sessions.

Mini LED and DFR expand the Nitro range

The Nitro family brings high resolution into the mix with the Nitro XV345CKR P. This 34-inch curved monitor uses a 5K WUHD resolution of 5120 x 2160, an IPS panel, and Mini LED backlighting with 1,152 dimming zones.

It also includes Dynamic Frequency Resolution, or DFR, which allows 180Hz at full resolution and up to 360Hz in WFHD mode. Acer is clearly using that flexibility to appeal to users who want both sharp detail and fast gameplay from the same display.

Another model, the Nitro XV320QX, targets both gamers and professional creators. Its 32-inch Fast IPS panel runs at 5120 x 2880, reaches up to 165Hz, and can climb to 330Hz at QHD through DFR.

That monitor also brings 0.5 ms GTG response time, AMD FreeSync Premium, 95% DCI-P3 coverage, Acer HDR400 certification, a Smart Dial, and an infrared remote. It is positioned as a more versatile option for users who need strong color performance alongside high refresh capability.

The 1000Hz headline belongs to Nitro XV273U F5

The most aggressive speed claim in the lineup comes from the Nitro XV273U F5. Acer positions this 27-inch monitor for users who want maximum responsiveness, and its specifications reflect that focus.

It features a QHD 2560 x 1440 panel with a 500Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 540Hz. Using DFR, the monitor can reach 1000Hz at HD resolution, making it one of the most extreme options in the group for competitive play.

The rest of the specification sheet follows the same direction. Acer lists 95% DCI-P3 coverage, Delta E below 2, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, AMD FreeSync Premium, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, a Fast IPS panel, VRB Pro, dual light bars, and a black-and-white design.

Taken together, the Predator XB273K 3D, Predator X34 F1, Nitro XV345CKR P, Nitro XV320QX, and Nitro XV273U F5 show how Acer is widening its monitor strategy. The lineup now spans glasses-free 3D, Mini LED and QD-OLED panels, 5K-class resolution, and refresh rates that stretch as high as 1000Hz.
