Xiaomi 18 Pro Tipped for a 7,000mAh Battery and Dual 200MP Cameras

Xiaomi’s next flagship line is already drawing attention, and the strongest signs point to the Pro models becoming the real headline act. The biggest leaks center on a battery that may start with “7” and a camera setup built around two 200MP sensors.

That direction suggests Xiaomi is not treating the Xiaomi 18 family as a simple refresh. Instead, the lineup appears to be split more clearly, with the standard model kept compact while the Pro versions are pushed into much more ambitious territory.

A compact standard model remains in the plan

Digital Chat Station on Weibo says the regular Xiaomi 18 is set to use a 6.4-inch 2K display. The panel is also said to come with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, rounded corners, and slim bezels.

Those details point to a flagship that is easier to hold than many current premium phones. In a market dominated by larger screens, a 6.4-inch device could still appeal to buyers who want a smaller phone without giving up top-tier hardware.

The Pro models are getting the most dramatic changes

The more aggressive updates appear to be reserved for the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. Both are said to adopt a new display technology, and both are also linked to silicon-based batteries.

Digital Chat Station added that the peripheral components in the Xiaomi 18 Pro series have been significantly upgraded compared with the previous generation. The full hardware picture is still incomplete, but the leaked information suggests Xiaomi is focusing on more than just the processor and the main camera system.

Two 200MP cameras could define the Pro identity

The most eye-catching claim concerns the camera setup. Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are reportedly moving to dual 200-megapixel cameras, which would be a major shift from the current generation.

That change stands out even more when compared with the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. Those models still use a triple rear camera arrangement with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto unit, and another 50MP sensor, so a dual 200MP setup would mark a very different strategy.

Battery capacity may also take a large jump

Another hint from Digital Chat Station points to battery capacity beginning with the number “7,” which suggests a figure in the 7,000mAh range. If that detail holds, battery life could become one of the biggest selling points for the series.

The use of silicon battery technology may help Xiaomi fit that larger capacity without dramatically increasing the size of the device. That would fit the broader approach visible in the leaks, where the company seems to be balancing more power with practical design choices.

September remains the expected launch window

In a separate post, Digital Chat Station said the Xiaomi 18 series is still on track for a September debut. That timeline lines up with the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which were also introduced in September last year.

The previous generation offers useful context for what Xiaomi may be trying to improve. The Xiaomi 17 series arrived with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Leica-tuned rear cameras, and a rear secondary M10 display on the Pro models, although it is not yet clear whether that rear screen will carry over to the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.

For now, the leaks suggest Xiaomi is preparing a much sharper split between the models. The base Xiaomi 18 appears aimed at users who still want a compact flagship, while the Pro versions are shaping up as the showcase for bigger batteries, new display hardware, and a far more extreme camera setup.
