ASUS is preparing one of the most unusual gaming laptops set for India, and the ROG Zephyrus Duo (2026) GX651 stands out immediately because of its dual-display design. The company is expected to bring it to market soon, with sales projected to begin by the end of June 2026.
What makes the device especially notable is that ASUS is no longer treating the second screen as a novelty. Both displays are 16-inch OLED touch panels with 3K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, giving the laptop a far more serious setup for both gaming and productivity.
A dual-screen layout built for more than gaming
The main panel is meant for gaming and creative work, while the second display is designed for tasks that benefit from constant visibility. That includes Discord, streaming controls, system monitoring, and video-editing timelines.
ASUS also highlights five usage modes to make the laptop more adaptable across different scenarios. Those modes include Laptop Mode, Dual Screen Mode, Book Mode, Sharing Mode, and Tent Mode.
This approach broadens the appeal of the Zephyrus Duo beyond gamers alone. Content creators, video editors, and users who frequently switch between work setups get more flexibility from the hardware.
Flagship internals with RTX 5090
Under the hood, the Zephyrus Duo (2026) sits firmly in flagship territory. ASUS pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, making it one of the most powerful configurations in the lineup.
The GPU comes with up to 24GB of GDDR7 memory and supports a TGP of up to 150W. ASUS is positioning that setup for modern AAA gaming at maxed-out graphics, ray tracing, and DLSS 4 support.
The hardware profile is not limited to gaming. ASUS says the laptop is also suitable for 3D rendering, animation, and professional 4K video editing.
To support that workload, the machine can be configured with up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage tops out at a 2TB PCIe 5.0 SSD in the highest configuration.
Cooling and power for sustained heavy use
High-end hardware and dual displays demand a strong thermal system, and ASUS includes a 90Wh battery along with ROG Intelligent Cooling. The setup features a vapor chamber and a custom thermal design intended to keep temperatures stable during demanding sessions.
That focus on sustained performance matters for a laptop expected to run two screens at once in both gaming and productivity scenarios. It also reflects ASUS’ intent to keep the device stable under continuous heavy loads rather than only short bursts of peak performance.
Premium pricing for a narrow audience
The Zephyrus Duo (2026) is clearly aimed at the ultra-premium segment. In the United States, the top-end RTX 5090 variant is priced at around US$5,500.
With taxes and import costs, the expected price in India could reach about ₹5.2 lakh. That places the laptop in a category reserved for professionals, high-end content creators, and enthusiast gamers willing to pay for an unconventional and highly capable machine.
The GX651 also shows where ASUS is heading with its gaming laptop design in 2026. Two 3K 120Hz OLED screens, Intel Core Ultra 9, and RTX 5090 combine to make it one of the most distinctive devices planned for the year.
