Skyworth’s G27Q Pro is aimed at buyers who want one monitor to cover both fast-paced gaming and color-sensitive work. The 27-inch panel combines 2K resolution with a refresh rate that can be pushed to 275Hz, while the introductory price is set at 1,099 yuan during pre-sale beginning on June 8.
That combination places the monitor in a crowded segment, but Skyworth is clearly trying to make speed only part of the story. The G27Q Pro pairs its high-refresh gaming focus with a specification set that also gives attention to image sharpness, color accuracy, and day-to-day comfort.
Built around speed, but not limited to it
At the core of the G27Q Pro is a 27-inch Fast IPS panel with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. The panel runs at 260Hz natively and can be overclocked to 275Hz, which keeps it firmly in esports-ready territory.
Skyworth also lists a 1 ms gray-to-gray response time and 178-degree viewing angles. To support smoother motion, the monitor includes Adaptive-Sync along with AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync support.
A Motion Clarity Engine Pro is included as well, using backlight control to reduce motion blur. Users also get 10 levels of overdrive, allowing the display response to be adjusted according to the frame rate in use.
Color handling gets serious treatment
The G27Q Pro is not only about competitive play. Skyworth says the monitor covers 97% of DCI-P3, 100% of sRGB, and 94% of Adobe RGB, which gives it a stronger foundation for work that depends on color consistency.
Each unit is also factory calibrated with a Delta E below 1. That level of tuning makes the display more suitable for users who occasionally edit photos or work on light video tasks and want a more accurate starting point.
Skyworth also includes specific color profiles such as Rec.709 and BT.2020. Those options widen the monitor’s usable range, even if gaming remains its main positioning.
More than a simple gaming display
For image quality, the monitor reaches a peak brightness of 570 nits and carries a static contrast ratio of 1400:1. It also has HDR400 certification, giving it a brighter and more vivid presentation without moving away from its fast-monitor identity.
Skyworth has added several features aimed directly at players. These include FPS, RPG, and MOBA presets, along with a crosshair overlay, shadow boosting, and a sniper zoom mode.
One of the more unusual additions is a simulated 24.5-inch screen mode. That option is meant for players who prefer a tighter field of view, similar to the setup often used in esports environments.
Made for long sessions at the desk
The G27Q Pro also includes features that matter outside gaming. An ambient light sensor can automatically adjust brightness and color temperature, which helps keep the screen comfortable when room lighting changes.
Skyworth has also added hardware-level low blue light support, an anti-glare matte coating, and DC dimming to reduce flicker. Those details make the monitor better suited to extended use, whether it is for games or work.
Connectivity is straightforward, with two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. To reach 1440p at 275Hz, DisplayPort is required, since HDMI 2.0 is not enough for the maximum specification.
The included stand supports full adjustment, including up to 130 mm of height, tilt, swivel, and 90-degree pivot for portrait use. The monitor weighs 4.9 kg with the stand and also supports 75 x 75 mm VESA mounting.
