ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 Brings Dual 3K OLED Displays, Yet Stays Under 1.65 Kg

ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 is built for users who need more screen space without giving up portability. It pairs two 14-inch 3K 144Hz OLED displays with a body that weighs just 1.65 kg with the keyboard attached.

The formula is aimed squarely at mobile professionals and creators who often work across multiple windows at once. ASUS also pairs the device with a 99Wh battery, which it says can last up to 20 hours with one screen active and more than 10 hours when both displays are in use.

Dual OLED panels with a premium focus

Both displays use ASUS Lumina Pro OLED technology and share the same 14-inch size, 2880×1800 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, and 0.2 ms response time. The result is a setup that behaves more like a high-performance workstation than a typical thin-and-light laptop.

ASUS says the panels can reach 500 nits in SDR mode and go beyond 1000 nits in HDR. They also cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, carry PANTONE Validated certification, and can switch to an sRGB profile with full 100% coverage through MyASUS.

Touch input is supported, along with stylus use through the MPP 2.6 protocol. ASUS also includes a wireless docking charger for the stylus, adding convenience for users who rely on pen input.

Designed to remain compact and durable

The chassis uses ASUS Ceraluminum based on a magnesium-aluminum material mix and comes in Moher Gray. ASUS says the material resists scratches, while the body has been reduced by 5% compared with the previous generation.

Despite the dual-screen design, the total weight stays at 1.65 kg with the keyboard, and the bundled 244-gram charger brings the full carry weight to around 1.8 kg. That keeps the system firmly in the portable class even with its more complex hardware.

The hinge and kickstand have also been redesigned. ASUS says the gap between the two screens has been reduced by up to 70%, while the kickstand is integrated into the bottom cover and rated for 40,000 open-close cycles under a 15 kg load.

For added durability, the laptop carries US MIL-STD-810H certification. That positions it as a device meant to handle heavy daily use rather than just occasional travel.

Five working modes for different scenarios

Zenbook DUO 2026 can be used in Laptop Mode, Dual Screen Mode with a virtual keyboard, Dual Screen Mode with a Bluetooth keyboard, Desktop Mode, and Sharing Mode. A detachable Bluetooth keyboard makes the layout flexible for different types of work.

In Laptop Mode, the keyboard sits on the second display and connects automatically through Pogo Pin. In the virtual keyboard setup, the lower screen turns into a keyboard and touchpad with a six-finger touch gesture.

The most practical multitasking setup uses both displays vertically with the physical keyboard detached. Sharing Mode, meanwhile, lets the hinge open to 180 degrees so the screen can face someone sitting opposite the user.

Intel Core Ultra 9 power with local AI support

Under the hood, the laptop runs on the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H based on the Panther Lake architecture and Intel 18A process. The chip offers 16 cores, 16 threads, a 25W base power, and 18MB of Intel Smart Cache.

It also meets Copilot+ PC standards through the latest Intel AI Boost NPU with up to 50 TOPS. ASUS says this enables fast local AI processing, including image generation tasks.

In the UL Procyon AI Image Generation test, rendering one image reportedly takes 10.8 seconds. ASUS says that is 70% faster than the previous generation.

The memory and storage setup includes 32GB of LPDDR5X 8533 MT/s dual-channel RAM and a 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSD. ASUS claims the storage reaches 6,211 MB/s for read speeds and 5,345 MB/s for write speeds.

Cooling, connectivity, and price

To sustain performance, ASUS uses a new cooling system with two 97-blade fans and two heatpipes. The company says airflow is 24% higher, helping temperature control during demanding workloads.

In Cinebench R23, the laptop scores 14,587 points in Multi Core and 2002 points in Single Core. ASUS says that result is 17.5% higher than the Intel Core Ultra 9 285 from the previous generation.

Connectivity is generous for a thin laptop. The port selection includes full-size HDMI 2.1 FRL, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack, along with Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE211 and Bluetooth 5.4.

Audio comes from six speakers with Dolby Atmos certification, while the camera setup includes a 1080p 30fps webcam, an infrared sensor for Windows Hello, and support for AI-based Windows Studio Effects.

ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 is priced at Rp54.999.000. The package includes Windows 11 Home, Microsoft Office Home 2024, Microsoft 365 Basic for one year, a 3-month PC Game Pass, a stylus pen, a premium sleeve bag, a 3-year international warranty, and a 3-year Asus VIP Perfect Warranty.
