Infinix XBOOK 15 Comes In Cheaper, and the Bigger Laptop Looks Hard to Ignore

In the Rp7 million laptop segment, Infinix XBOOK 15 and AXIOO Hype R5 are competing with nearly identical core hardware, but the overall package tells a different story. For buyers weighing work, study, and entertainment in one device, the more surprising detail is that the larger Infinix model actually costs less.

That price position changes the comparison immediately. Infinix XBOOK 15 combines a 15.6-inch display, a larger battery, and newer video-call hardware, while AXIOO Hype R5 focuses more on portability with a smaller 14-inch body.

Display size is the clearest divider

The most visible difference starts with the screen. Infinix XBOOK 15 uses a 15.6-inch IPS Full HD panel, while AXIOO Hype R5 comes with a 14-inch display at the same resolution.

That extra size matters for multitasking, especially when opening two documents side by side or handling long spreadsheets. Infinix also has a slightly higher brightness level at 260 nits, compared with 250 nits on the AXIOO model.

Same core performance, different endurance

Both laptops rely on the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. That configuration is enough for web browsing with many tabs, writing assignments, and light creative work.

The difference appears in battery capacity. Infinix XBOOK 15 carries a 50 Wh battery, while AXIOO Hype R5 uses a 45 Wh unit, which gives Infinix an advantage for users who spend more time away from a charger.

Infinix also supports 65W Type-C fast charging. The feature adds convenience because it uses a compact modern charger and makes daily top-ups easier to manage.

Ports and webcam push Infinix ahead

In connectivity, Infinix XBOOK 15 includes a Full Function USB-C port that can handle charging, data transfer, and external display output. AXIOO Hype R5 still relies more heavily on conventional USB-A connections.

The webcam gap is also noticeable. AXIOO uses a standard 720p camera, while Infinix moves up to a 1080p Full HD webcam with Dual Starlight support.

That gives Infinix a stronger position for online meetings. Faces appear sharper, and the overall image is better suited to a more professional work setup.

Portability still belongs to AXIOO

AXIOO Hype R5 keeps the edge in weight at 1.46 kg, compared with 1.60 kg for the Infinix XBOOK 15. The 140-gram difference is not dramatic, but it still matters for users who carry their laptop every day.

Infinix answers with a larger chassis that makes room for a full-size keyboard. Users who type long reports or work with numeric input may find the layout more comfortable, and both laptops already include backlit keyboards.

The price comparison is what changes the verdict

Infinix XBOOK 15 is listed at around Rp7.399.000, while AXIOO Hype R5 sits slightly higher at Rp7.799.000. That makes the Infinix model the more aggressive offer on paper, because it pairs a bigger screen, stronger battery capacity, USB-C flexibility, and a better webcam with the lower price.

AXIOO Hype R5 still makes sense for buyers who want a smaller 14-inch machine and lower weight. Even so, the overall package from Infinix XBOOK 15 looks more compelling for everyday productivity, especially when the cheaper option is also the one with the broader feature set.
