8,000 mAh and 144 Hz Put Realme P4R in a Different League for Budget Gaming

Realme has introduced the P4R 5G in India with a clear focus on endurance and gaming. The model stands out in the mid-range segment thanks to its 8,000 mAh battery, which the company says can support up to 12 hours of gaming on a single charge.

That battery claim is only part of the appeal. Realme also says the phone can deliver up to 61 hours of voice calls or 169 hours of music playback, making it one of the more ambitious battery-focused releases in its class.

Built for long sessions

To keep the large battery practical, Realme equips the P4R with 45W fast charging through USB-C. The company positions the device as a phone for users who want long-lasting power without moving into the premium category.

The display also supports that positioning. Realme uses a 6.8-inch LCD panel with HD Plus resolution of 1,570 x 720 pixels, but it still offers a 144 Hz refresh rate for smoother movement in games and everyday scrolling.

Peak brightness reaches 1,200 nits, while Panda Glass is included for protection. The combination suggests Realme is aiming at users who value fluid visuals and durability as much as battery life.

Performance and hardware

Under the hood, the P4R is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset built on a 6 nm process. It is paired with LPDDR4X RAM of up to 6 GB and UFS 2.2 storage of up to 256 GB.

Realme also keeps a microSD card slot on the phone, which gives users additional room for games, photos, and video files. For a budget-minded gaming device, that extra expansion option remains a practical advantage.

The camera setup is straightforward, led by a 50 MP main rear camera with autofocus. On the front, the phone carries an 8 MP selfie camera for video calls and self-portraits.

Software and durability

The Realme P4R runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0. The software package is paired with side-mounted fingerprint recognition and face unlock for everyday access.

Connectivity options include WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, OTG, and dual SIM 5G support. At the back, Realme adds RGB lighting that can flash for notifications, reinforcing the phone’s gaming-inspired design.

Durability is another part of the story. The P4R carries an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance and is said to have passed MIL-STD-810H military-grade testing.

Realme also states that the device survived drop tests from heights of up to 1.8 meters. That makes the P4R more than just a large-battery phone, at least on paper.

Price and variants in India

In India, the Realme P4R is offered in Silver Glare, Lavender Glare, and Titanium Glare. Pricing starts at 18,999 rupee for the 4 GB/128 GB variant.

The 6 GB/128 GB model costs 20,999 rupee, while the top 6 GB/256 GB configuration is priced at 22,999 rupee. Based on the details gathered by KompasTekno from Gizmo China, the phone is being positioned as an affordable gaming option in the mid-range market.
